“Santino BYO”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 26, 2013 via mobile

My girlfriend prepared us a generous picnic lunch w/snacks and we embarked with Captain Iain and First Mate Jamali on an adventure that took us around the entire island over the course of the day. Iain was incredibly hospitable , informative , responsible , and Jamali was so accommodating and friendly. From the bottomless cooler to the smooth ride , they made every moment unforgettable for us ! Pulling up alongside dolphins was not on the agenda , we were all breathless at the moment ... Following two humpback whales was not on the agenda , we were all awestruck . Snorkelling at Creole Rock was an experience unlike any other , my girlfriend & I were being followed by a school of colourful yellow-striped fish that was so FREAKY and COOL !! And while others had lunch in Grand Case , we stayed back , and I had an insightful chat with a local fisherman cleaning Conch on the pier, Jamali translated a bit of what I wasn't catching, I was fascinated. Upon arrival at Tintemarre we spotted a Sea Turtle and the snorkelling there was terrific too, (someone spotted a ray). Captain Iain was knowledgeable about some of the more prominent yachts, sailboats , and real estate around the island , and answered any questions we had , with a keen dry British wit to boot!! (I think he was pretty easy on my girlfriend's eyes!) This is an experience we will do again and again , we would both extremely highly recommend this or any other adventure such as the Tango and Lambada Cruises with Tucker , (can't rememember the name of the other captain..) I tell these guys (AND SO SHOULD YOU TELL THEM) to Keep Their Jobs for a very long time!!!! We are forever grateful for the memories of a lifetime!!

“A Fun Day away from the beach”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 25, 2013

A relatively quick boat ride to Saba, lots of waves, a few flying fish, some dolphins, and more than a few sea sick people. (take your motion sickness pills!) We signed up for the taxi tour an lunch. The taxi driver, Gloria, was quite a character. She seemed to know everyone that passed us on the road, as she stopped and chatted out the window more than a few times. Although the van had no PA system, we could hear Gloria's narrative quite well, The island is all vertical and quite beautiful. The vista areas afforded an excellent view of the island and the surrounding sea. The tour consisted with of a roundtrip van ride from the Bottom, not really the bottom, through St. Johns, Windwardside and then Hell's Gate. The provided lunch at Scout's in Windwardside, was very good. There are several small shops that are worth visiting in Windwardside. The return high speed ferry ride was even rougher than the trip over, however I believe everyone had taken their pills. As the title says, a nice fun day away from the beach.

We booked an excursion on the Lambada with Aqua Mania through our hotel. The staff was great and we plan to do more excursions through them.

“Great Cruise--just do not froget your snacks”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 19, 2013

We went on the Santino BYO Cruise. This tour is easy to get to at Simpson Bay. Just follow the signs at the Simpson Bay Resort as the Aqua Marina is located there. We parked in the lot by the supermarket. The cruise was wonderful as was the captain and his first mate. The rum punch was good-no too sweet. The only things that would have made this trip better is --we forgot to bring snacks to go with the drinks!! We cruised the coast of Tintemarre Island and stopped at Pinel Island. The food at the restautrant and Grand Case (ribs) was excellent. The sea was a little choppy but no one was sick. The Captain was very safety concious and made sure everyone knew and had life jackets-inclusing the children. He also counted to make sure everyone was accounted for. He offered much insight to the areas along the coast. Job well done!! We will definitely book again with Aqua Marine next year--and remember to bring snacks to eat with the excellent rum punch :-)

We went out scuba diving, they supplied everything even snacks at a low price. They made sure that we had a good time. If you have time to do it, go to aqua mania for the afternoon
