We were so impressed with this restaurant. Ace is marvelous! He shared the menu with us and it's quite entertaining to listen to his explanation of the dishes. The food was the best we had on the island! The four of us had different dishes and we were all extremely pleased with the taste and presentation of the food. I highly recommend this restaurant and hope that we can return!

This place really does deserve it's number one ranking on Trip Advisor. It was awesome.

Ace started off with an amusing explanation of the menu and specials. He gave us the extensive drink menu first and we elected a pitcher of sangria, which he promptly made himself. It was delicious. Then we ordered the eggplant dip and olive tapanade for our appetizers. Both were great but the eggplant dip is as good as everyone says on here. Wow! I had the falafel special. As with most falafel, it's only as good as the yogurt dips it comes with. We got the cucumber and spinach and both were excellent. For dessert, we couldn't resist the fried Twix bars and homemade vanilla ice cream. Again, Wow!

This place stands out on an island full of continental cuisine. Don't miss it. Seriously.

Tips:

-They DON'T take credit cards so bring cash. There's an ATM across the street.

-Park at the bank across the street

-Ace said Saturday nights during low season are their slowest nights. You will be sure to get in then.

I must have been here at the same time as Valentina. Ace was wonderful, but alone. We did have napkins, silver, etc. His service was very good, but it was almost painful to watch him valiantly run around the place. That said, we told him we were not in a hurry. Ace made it a point to review dishes, answer questions, and did NOT do the busy server trick of disappearing when it is time for the check.

The space is quite charming. We sat outside, which is next to the busy street, but artfully camouflaged with tropical plants. There is a special drink menu, and the drinks come in cute tin cups. The food was quite good, but none of our dishes were exceptional. It has been less than a week and I don't remember anything except the eggplant dip that has been mentioned. Oh yes - the gazpacho was great!

The combination of the co-owners personalities, and culinary skill and creativeness makes for a most excellent dining experience! The maitre d’, Ace, is very attentive to the customer needs and is very knowledgeable of the menu and all the flavor in every dish. His friendliness made my girlfriend and I feel as though we were old friends. The chef, Naz, clearly has excellent vision regarding flavor pairings as each dish complimented one another fantastically. Throughout our one week stay on the island of St. Maarten, my girlfriend and I searched for the one place at which we wanted to spend our last evening of vacation, and this restaurant was it. Crave was definitely a top highlight of our time in St. Maarten!!

My friends and I ate at Crave last night. We highly anticipated our visit and were not disappointed. The eggplant appetizer was incredible. Our entrees (lamb shank, chicken kebob, chicken with walnuts and pomegranate braise, and chicken with apricots and plums braise) were delicious. The owner (and waiter) was very attentive and took great pleasure in making sure our dining experience was one to remember. We plan on returning before going home.
