“PanLaan outdoor eating”
Reviewed October 5, 2013

Waterfront dining and Thai food was an incredible combination. The service was very good. The restaurant was a little hard to find as the sign is not very big and the restaurant itself is on the ground floor of what looks like an apartment building right on Simpson Bay.

“Fantastic Thai Restaurant”
Reviewed October 4, 2013

Visited this Restaurant after reading the reviews. If you like Thai food it would be a crime not to visit while you are on the Island. Even though we went in the quiet season, it was still always busy,
The staff are attentive, but not overbearing and very helpful with explaining about anything you want to know about the dishes. We did not have starters, as the main courses are filling and plentiful. In the three weeks we were on the Island, we visited the Restaurant four times it was that good, on one visit we celebrated our wedding anniversary and was met by the waiter and escorted to our table, then we were presented with a glass of champagne, at the end of the evening the owner even drove us back to our Hotel and this was done again on the next two visits, I know this is not a regular thing and not to be expected when visiting the Restaurant, but it made our visits more special. We tried different dishes each time we went, and I can honestly say we could not pick out a favourite meal as they were all excellent. Just wished we were staying longer, so we could have tried all the menu. Two of the waiters Leon and Bernard were great, and have a great rapport between themselves and guests.Wish we there now, we are beginning to get withdrawal symptoms. The setting is delightful and overlooks the Lagoon with twinkling lights on the shimmering water, there is also inside eating

“Great Thai Restaurant and friendly service”
Reviewed October 4, 2013

We found a review of this place on Trip Advisor and thought we would give it a try .,It took us a while to find as it is not the easiest place to find as it is located down a passage way at the rear of the First Caribbean Bank off Welfare Drive Simpson Bay but once there the setting ,ambience & views are stunning overlooking Simpson Bay Lagoon.

The food is first class and and authentic , the service superb and it is not over expensive (no dearer than a Thai full meal in most UK restaurants I have been to) The Management are on site and come to see all is OK with the meal and service We walked to this place which was about a mile from our accommodation and when the manager heard of this he insisted on running us back in his own car, which he did (Thank you)

How good would I say it was , well guess for yourselves, we went back 4 times whilst on holiday and I could not pick which of the meals we had was the best , and the sweets delicious , they all were excellent

Looking forward to our next to Panlaan there and St Maarten
