“What a CAT!”
Reviewed August 3, 2014 via mobile

We took the Tradewinds motor catamaran Dream Maker all around St. Maarten and it was fabulous! The Captain's Premier cabin was the best. The other 2 cabins were smaller, but suitable for guests. Our captain, Pierre, was fantastic and his first mate/chef was out of this world! Best food I've ever eaten on a yacht! This cruise is geared for water activities, so grab your scuba and fins and have a wonderful time on the water! The sundown cocktails are fantastic too! Cheers!

“GREAT TIME IN ST MAARTEN”
Reviewed September 6, 2012

Last stop on our cruise and couldnt have asked for a better day , very warm and sunny . Tropical storm Isaac passed through recently so water was still a bit cloudy so snorkeling could have been better but that is not to be blamed on crew . As far as the crew they were AWESOME!! Extremely chatty and friendly the whole trip . Stopped to swim in a small inlet and had a great time jumping into the water and riding the waves . On way back to pier enjoyed music , light snacks , and cold drinks . Would definitely recommend this excursion!!!

“Not your everyday island!”
Reviewed December 11, 2011

The Dutch side is bustling and it is decidedly US/Canadian in flavor. But the island is charming and has a lot to offer. Check out the shopping along Front Street in Phillpsburg. A shop called Royal Caribbean Jewelers, 86B Front Street near McDonald's is the place to buy good quality and very competitively priced diamonds. The Back Street is a must as well to get bargain clothing (plus sizes) and shoes. Near the Courts between the Front and Back Streets, along the side street, is an Indian restaurant called Jonha...(excellent food) ...order your food, go do some shopping and then come back and eat! Otherwise you may not get what you want on their extensive menu. A guy on the road side opposite Penny's department store, Back Street ( a 2 minute walk from Jonha's) sells great music CDs. He's a cool fella and knows his Caribbean and Latin music. Near the Courts is another restaurant called Kangaroo Court. Great food but pricey. An evening at Buccaneer Beach Bar, Simpson Beach is entertaining with live raggae music and crab races. Don't eat at Greenhouse restaurant next door to Buccaneer if you are a vegetarian. Get in early (before 11am) at the Sunset Beach Bar, Maho to get a table on the deck left side where you can hear the communications from the airport tower and watch the planes come in real low for the landing. BTW, Toppers restaurants are over rated with lousy service.

“A DAY TO REMEMBER”
Reviewed October 23, 2009

My husband and I went on the Garfield Fun Cat Charter while on vacation in St Maarten. We toured around about 3/4s of the island on our day trip, stopping along the way to swim, snorkel and hang out at some great beaches. Captain Steve was very friendly and informative. He fed us well with fresh fruit in the morning, great sandwiches for lunch and bread and cheese in the afternoon. This was by far one of the best attractions we've done on vacation anywhere. It felt intimate with just eight of us on board, like getting a private tour of the best parts of the island. Also I should say it really is quite a deal for your money. Excellent way to spend a relaxing day!!
