Simpson Bay Resort & Marina is an expansive property with many units spread over a large area. Our room was in the Marina building and was large and well equipped. The units are a bit dated, particularly the bathrooms, but were clean and comfortable. The views are nothing short of amazing and we spent quite a bit of time on our spacious veranda overlooking the marina and bay.
This property has multiple pools spread over it's acreage and is fairly well equipped with small grocery store, little shops, etc. There's several restaurants on the property, however they weren't great with the exception of 'The Stone' which was very good. It is, however, easy walking distance to some excellent restaurants on the main road running parallel to the bay.
Staff here are professional, friendly and accommodating, which can be a bit of a rarity on this beautiful little island. We really did enjoy ourselves, but there seems to be a general problem with hospitality here, that I haven't encountered elsewhere. A bit of a disconnect in terms of being a tourist driven economy. We spent one week here which we loved and were reluctant to leave, and another week at the Towers at Mullet Bay, which I would not return to for this very reason.More
