“Two Bedrooms, Two Baths, a Balcony on the Beach”

We stayed at LaVista Beach this time, but have stayed at the Resort as well. The staff is great, the landscape and flowers, remarkable. Two pools and a stunning view of Saba in the distance. We happen to like the Hideaway and Bar for what it was designed to be.

Thankfully, the people who were disappointed with their visit will never become owners. We obviously have a different view of the world. We will return as a family in about a week and we couldn't be happier.

LaVista receives the highest rating by RCI, year after year. A rating deserved, indeed.

We purchased a timeshare at La Vista several years ago. We also have 2 wks. at another resort on the island. If we'd found La Vista earlier we would have bought all 3 weeks here. We have travelled extensively & cannot say enough about this resort. The staff is terrific & the restaurant cozy, great food and ambience galore.

If you want to see the island, yes, a car is essential but there is a great little deli/grocery store in the area & a casino (for you gamblers) and other restaurants if you don't like to cook. The view from our balcony is spectacular (those sunsets are awesome). This is a quiet, family run resort where you feel right at home.

Why anyone wouldn't want to move right in I just don't know!! We can't wait to get there this March.

A happy Canadian & her husband

We arrived at LaVista and found our unit available at 1:30 PM...clean and comfortable!

What a wonderful place...the view, the room, the grounds, the pool are magnificant..you have to be there to know the feeling. The staff members are very professional and fun. You can't help falling in love with this place. At 6:15 am we walked the beach, watched the cruise ships sailing in and the sun rise.....and this was just the beginning of unforgettable days and nights!

The quiteness of the resort is amazing, even with a restaurant with delightful food and lively, (but quite) music two nights a week.

You and your loved one will fall in love all over again after two days here. Peace and love - it all prevails at this resort. We have been visiting the resort for 10 years and it just keeps getting better.

Just returned from our week at La Vista and it was great as always. French Chef in Hide-Away rest. was excellent. New sand on small beach was a big plus.June of 2006 the new airport will open making connections faster. The roads on the island still need pot holes filled. A bus system is greatly needed to replace all the rental cars. Shell gas was strange when it does not accept Shell credit card. Phillpsburg has a huge parking problem-no space.

Ive stayed there the last three year and every year was worse. Last year like usual ther were light buls out in the room and the towl rack fell off the wall in the bathroom. The phone didnt work and when i called the office i got connected to the bar and got a real smart [--] on the line who treated me like an idiot and basicly told me i didnt know how to use a phone. I went down to the bar and confronted him and he couldnt even get the phone to work nice. Last year our roof leake in 3 seprate spots in our bedroom (at 3 am). The decided to move us at 7 pm the following day in a thunderstorm and they didn't offer us any help, so neeedless to say we got wet moving our belongings (outside ) to another room and got soaked. After we moved our security gaurd called our new room to ask us for our key to the old one so "he could go inside to watch tv for the night". The restraunt isn't that good eithier. It was an old unit (pent house) we stayed in. I think since they built the new units on the beach they for got about the old ones. If you pay a maitinance fees wheres the matinance?

Just returned from a week at La Vista. As others have reported, this is a small, quiet and very relaxing resort. The view from the top floors and the infinity pool are wonderful. We arranged a rental car at the front desk. You really need a car to get around and see the island. Go to Nettle Bay for a beautiful and close by beach. The sunsets from Nettle Bay are spectacular. Food at the resort is very good. Also try Banana's in Simpson Bay for the best key lime pie in the Caribbean. Driving is relatively easy and is on the right side of the road. The locals drive pretty wild but you get used to it. The resort is very clean and well maintained. We had a penthouse unit and it is roomy with all the amenities. Only one complaint...the beds are BRUTAL. I guess a hard mattress lasts longer, but come on folks!!!...give your guests a break and invest in something more comfortable ! We won a free week at the resort in the weekly raffle and will definitely return. A resort this small that is consistently rated an RCI Gold Crown resort will give you a clue as to the overall appeal of La Vista.

We just returned from a weeks visit to the La Vista resort. This is the place to go for a quiet relaxing vacation. The resort is not new but is well maintained. They have also added a new section next to the beach. The view is excellent, especially from the top floors of the older section. They have a small restaurant and bar next to the pool. The food was very good and prices were comparable to other restaurants in the area. The staff was very helpful and took care of all our needs. I highly recommend this resort.
