“The supplied the seafood, we cooked it!”

One of the locals said go to Skipjack's for fresh seafood and they'll provide you with fresh fish you can take home and cook yourself. Well they provided a superior product and the best advice of how to cook what they sold us. A solid excellent decision to go there. Next trip we'll let them cook the seafood for us.

“Great food, view and service”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 25, 2012

Went there a few hours before our flight. The astute waitress, Selma, noticed that we had a child, and she immediately seated us on the waterfront. We had calamari, beer battered (jumbo) shrimp and the ahi tuna burger - all exceptional. There was a comprehensive children's menu, but did not order from it, for our child loves seafood. To note that tax and service is included in the price, but felt that the attentive service deserved more that 7.5% and left more. We will return.

“Not impressed”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 22, 2012

We had a very disappointing evening at Skip Jacks. The server was great - friendly and efficient and that's the only good thing that I can say. The shrimp & scallop pot pie only had 3 shrimp and no scallops and the crust was burnt - the server apologized and removed it from our bill.
The Caribbean lobster was dry, tasteless and very expensive. I had the shrimp creole and
was very disappointed. The shrimp were very small and the creole sauce was not spicy or
tasty. The Reisling wine was the most sour wine I have ever tasted and the mixed drinks
were watered down.

“Amazing meal”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 21, 2012

Had an amazing dinner here during our 4 night stay in St. Maarten last Fall. We were seated by the water; beautiful mountain views. My husband got to go over to the lobster tank and pick out his dinner. I had an amazing grouper. It was our first time in St. Maarten but friends told us to come here for dinner. I'm glad we listened! Great friendly service. If I make it back to St. Maarten I will definitely be having dinner at Skip Jacks! We had an early dinner and it must have been a happy hour; because they had 2 for 1 wine. So for 4 glasses of wine (only 2 showed up on the bill); my husbands lobster ;my dinner we paid close to $100. Not bad considering his lobster alone was $70!
