I almost didn't want to write this review as it is good to have a few secrets. I don't want everyone to find this place as it will get too crowded!
It's a shack on the beach. It's not fancy. Its not french. It's not expensive. It's close to Simpson Bay. It's amazing!
Plop yourself down on this cute little beach in their chairs with umbrella. The nicest staff will rush to your side and bring you ice cold beer and delicious food. They won't charge you for the chairs if you drink their (cheap) beer or reasonably priced lunch. $14 for 6 beers in a bucket of ice with free chairs= Bargain!
The water is great and staff lovely oh yes and my Sint Maarten pet-peeve about how so many places can't be bothered to take credit cards- well they do accept them. I would so much rather carry my Visa and a few dollars to the beach then worry about a wad of cash getting "lost" - or worse..
It's right next to the airport so you hear the jets roaring in and out, but it all part of the SXM experience. This is one place added to the "must do" list for every visit.
