Azure probably isn’t for everyone, but that’s ok... it was 100% for us. A very small hotel with a serious chill vibe — all the “little touches” we wanted were there, and Mike is a very cool, easygoing guy and no problem at all to work with. Back to the hotel: A visit here means being able to relax, not sweat the minutiae of life, and to get your “beach bum” on. There is little to disturb you here, unless you dislike seeing/hearing the jets take off (we like that sort of thing). There are 4 friendly and very healthy feline ambassadors on site — rescued during the rebuilding stage — who may choose to hang out with you on the beach or patio. They made us miss our own pets that much less, and we checked on them each day. Things on SXM in general are not rushed, and small issues that crop up are easily handled or worked around. Basic groceries and local-style places to eat are nearby (>5 min walk). We were invited to tour the on-site art studio, which was fun also, and it was good to see such healthy and active turtles in the small garden-area habitat. The area around the hotel is still rebuilding, as are many parts of SXM, but things still function and people are friendly. We felt good about being here, and would certainly do it again.

WOW! Thank you for the fantastic review!! We are glad that you enjoyed our little furry friends, just a note on them, we treat them for ticks and fleas and they have all of their shots. We did not have the heart to put them down as no one was adopting cats on the island, apparently there was a lot of kittens born after the hurricane. To make them a welcome feature to the Azure we take extra care to make sure they do not spray or leave any other traces of waste by spraying the garden and beach with a citrus mixture that discourages them or any other passers by. So far our guests have been delighted with them. We did have a guest that was allergic and I had asked if they were causing any trouble, but they said since they are outdoors it was fine. I did offer them a water gun in case they got too close, but they never needed it. We take our guests comfort very seriously and take extra steps to maintain the zen atmosphere at the Azure. Thank you for noticing and we look forward to your next visit!

Paradise! Great place, great beach, walk to restaurants, clean rooms, great hospitality from Mike, Fawnette and entire staff. Basically lived on the beach and watched Simpson Bay all day/night. Great to check out of our daily schedules and enjoy the perfect weather! Paradise!

Thank you for the amazing review, it is true, you do not have to leave the beach to have an incredible vacation! There are new places to eat close by opening every couple of months, we are having a hard time keeping track of them all. Thank you for staying with us and we look forward to your next visit!

If you're into spas, restaurants, pools and bars Azure may not be the place for you;. BUT if you're into the best beach, access to multiple restaurants within a 10-minute (or less) walk, great guests, and caring owners....Azure cannot be beat. Plus it's a great value!

Thank you for the perfect review, it was a pleasure having you! I would just add one think, we do offer massages on the beach from 3 professional masseuses. You can enjoy a massage in the shade on the beach or in the privacy of your room. We hope to see you again soon!

What a wonderful night I spent at Azure Hotel & Art Studio. I was looking for not more that a bed between two flights at SXM I found this little Caribbean gem. Lovely situated directly on the beach, very quaint and very relaxed, yet clean and in good shape. The host (Mike) is very helpful and he and the staff make you feel at home right a way. The location of the hotel is good, close to the main road with shops and restaurants and just a 20-minute-walk from the the famous Maho Beach.

This little hotel has a great location right on the beach and within walking distance of good restaurants. I was going to Saba for a couple nights and was appreciative of being able to store a bag. The units have handy kitchenettes, good WiFi, and a nice TV.

We are so glad you enjoyed your stay! There are more restaurants opening every month, we are having a hard time keeping up with all of them. Thank you for the review and we look forward to your next visit!
