We booked with Random Wind after reading all the glowing reviews on Trip Advisor. Once our cruise ship docked in St. Maarten, we took a taxi to Simpson Bay as instructed. Imagine our disappointment when Diane received a phone call just as she was about to take us to the sail boat, telling us that a drive shaft seal had blown and the trip would have to be called off. To her credit, she not only refunded our deposit, she also reimbursed us for our taxi expenses. We were so impressed with how she handled this problem and are looking forward to experiencing Random Wind on a future visit to St. Maarten.

We traveled with our friends Cathy and Bill and were incredibly surprised to find out that we were going to be the only ones on the boat that day. When we booked we understood that there could be up to fifteen people on and we were still good with that, but to find out that we were going to be alone, we were super excited. Diane and Trevor who clearly would be doing this trip at a loss to them that day never once complained and really made us feel like we were on Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous. It was incredible. It was so laid back and we never wanted for anything. There was always plenty to eat and drink, Diane played whatever music we wanted to hear, and the boat was super comfortable with a ton of different places to sit in the sun or shade. There was a cushioned "bed" area in the middle with plenty of room for all of us plus Diane to lounge on during the day. Plus we swam and jumped, dove and swung off the Tarzan swing. There was plenty to do, plus plenty of time to relax. It was truly one of the best, if not the best excursion we have been on. It was well worth the money we paid especially since it included lunch, snacks, drinks and the day on the boat. We will be doing it again when we return to St Maarten! Both Diane and Trevor were the best hosts ever always giving us whatever we needed plus giving us a ton of laughs. Also Trevor was really helpful with the Tarzan swing when I was a bit gun shy at first to use it. So much fun! We were on a cruise and we paid seven dollars each for the cab ride over, and just made sure we established our price before we got in the cab both ways. Diane called for a cab for the way back. It did not come but there were tons of cabs that drove by and we were able to quickly get one of them. They also got us back in plenty of time to re-board our ship. You must book with Random Wind directly with them if you will be in St Maarten!

Booked for the second time on Random Wind and experienced a great day!! Took a taxi (20 minutes) and $8.00 per person from the cruise ship terminal. The owner books no more than 15 people for the trip, so the boat is never overcrowded. Great lunch, great snacks, great drinks, a wonderful way to get away from the cruise ship and enjoy snorkeling and swimming. The water was too murky on the day we snorkeled to see anything, but the water was great!!
We had a nice relaxing day with Diane and her crew. She is very accommodating and makes sure everyones needs are met.
Everyone had a good time on the Tarzan swing!

We were fortunate enough to sail with our cruising companions Mike & Sue. With just the 4 of us aboard we had the entire ship to ourselves. The seas were fairly calm, the drinks were abundant and the lunch was very tasty. Trevor even let me steer the boat for awhile. Diane was a fantastic host and has some pretty good moves off of the ships swing. Her and Trevor even did a few tandems. The swing was just awesome and we all had a great time. When we return to St. Maarten we will definitely be rebooking. Thanks, Diane & Trevor

My wife and I booked a trip on Random Wind after reading all the great reviews on TripAdvisor. Once again, TripAdvisor did not let me down. In one word, Random Wind: Excellent.

Diane, Trevor and Eli hosted a great day for us on Random Wind. They treated us as a very valued and appreciated guest. Diane did a wonderful job of hosting us and addressing our various requests ("Please? May we have a small snack?....) And voila, a wonderful small snack appeared. Eli was wonderful and engaging and kept the drinks coming. We wanted for nothing (except a longer day on Random Wind).

I highly recommend this day trip! They did a wonderful job. Keep up the good work Random Wind!
