We stopped at Sarafina's on one of our visits to Marigot. The place was very busy and it took us a while to get our food, kind of hard to wait when you've got 2 kids with you. The food was great, I had a quiche with spinach which was very good, my husband and son had a mozzarella tomato grilled panini and they were very happy with it.

We went to Sarafina's twice during our stay on St. Maarten. On Sunday afternoon Marigot is a quiet town; a good time to explore Fort St. Louis and have a snack at Sarafina's. We all tried a different pastry, and we all loved the one we picked. We went back on Wednesday morning for the Marigot Market day. Apparently the cruise ships were in that day as the line was long at Sarafina's, but it was worth the wait to have another wonderful pastry. So, if you can avoid the cruise ship crowd, go a different day. But don't miss it!

We found the staff to be helpful to both English and French speaking members of our group. The price was quoted in both Euros and US dollars without asking.
Now on to the food......incredible, delicious, flaky, fresh, it's a good thing that we live far away! We had two cappuccinos, an apple tart, a layered Mille feuille, and two pistachio macaroons for under15€. We arrived at 9:30-10:00 on a busy market Wednesday morning. The wait was 10 minutes or so. Lots of beautiful items to drool over as you walk along the display case to where you order.
If you need the bathroom, ask one of the workers and they'll give you the code for the men's/ladies' room.

We were in Marigot for a quick stop for lunch. We were doing a tour of the whole island as were on a port stop from a cruise ship. Sarafina's was recommended to us by another tour group member. We are so glad that we stopped by. The sandwiches were amazing. I don't even like sandwiches that much. These had a little bit more French taste to them. We also had a large macaron, and also palmier. All of the pastries were amazing. If Ihad more time, I would have loved to spend a few hours there just to eat and people watch. It was a nice experience of having a bit of France in the Caribbean.

If we ever go back to Marigot, we are definitely going to stop by again. We'll probably even take more goodies to go!
