“A Jewel”
Reviewed December 9, 2010

The food is amazing (I had to go back a second evening to get another whole grilled sea bass which was incredibly sweet and moist), but that's not the entire lure of the place. The adorable French-born Lucienne, the hostess/waitress (sister of the talented chef, Frantz) is absolutely delightful, welcoming and charming. When we arrived for our second dinner, she remembered our names, our choices of wine and the resort at which we were staying. The tiny casual setting near the bobbing boats in the Marigot marina is low-key and lovely. In years past, before the global recession, it could be difficult to get a table. Now, you may find yourself the only patrons. Don't let that dissuade you. This wonderful spot is truly magical.

“Best in Marigot”
Reviewed January 24, 2010

The new chef owner used to cook at La Plantation. Thanks to Tripadvisor we were happy to find this place. The food is great. My spouse had the whole sea bass and smoked salmon. I had chicken with mushrooms and onion soup. We shared dessert..warm chocolate cake with ice cream...excellent! We both enjoyed our dinners. Eat there....it's wonderful.

“Wow, wow, wow”
Reviewed November 24, 2009

We went to La Petite Auberge last night and had a great meal. The owner/chef is Frantz, and he took over the restaurant in May from the prior owner. The onion soup is one of the best on St. Martin. Had a wonderful Red Snapper with creole sauce. Prices are incredibly reasonable. Great value and great quality. We will definitely go back again.

“La Petite Auberge Des Isles: Wonderful food”
Reviewed August 2, 2009

We have returned from a week in St Maarten. We had the most wonderful meal at a restaurant in Marigot called La Petite Auberge Des Isles. It has recently changed hands and the new owner/chef is just marvelous. Do not let this restaurant pass you by while you are visiting St Maarten. It is a wonderful treat and the owners are very friendly and accomodating. [--]

“Delicious dinner on the marina”
Reviewed July 16, 2009

Wife and I had dinner at La Petite as part of the Calypso dinner cruise offered through Aqua Mania, so I'm not sure of the actual costs for the dinners. Located on the Marina Royale of Marigot, it has a great view of the marina and hillside. Through the cruise, we ordered from a 3 course prix fix menu. Everything was delicious: bleu cheese salad starter, ribeye steak (with a indescribably wonderful side of scalloped potatoes) & mahi-mahi entrees and pistachio ice cream & a divine chocolate cake (which I highly recommend) for dessert. The new owners/chef are very personable and the service was top notch. We will be sure to visit La Petite Auberge the next time we are on the island.
