The Mini Club is one of our "must stop in" restaurants on the island. We observe the dinning in Marigot overall has declined with a shift more to Grand Case, Claude's - Le Mini Club has remained a tried and true mainstay. From the years gone by when "Madam Claude" would host, to the past few years with new owners Mariam and YoAnn, Le Mini Club has consistently provided top quality food, be it the Lobster buffet on Wednesday and Saturday, or the wide selections from the menu. The location on the water front at the end of the local central market is one of the best. The new covering on the patio covers you in case of the pesky pop up shower but somehow you still feel like your are outside. The entertainment is consistent with the same guitarist we've enjoyed for years. His Louie Armstrong covers are a bonus treat. The cook staff likewise is the same. We actually bumped into the chef in the local market one Wednesday as he was gathering produce for the evenings service. Pretty cool! Make a reservation and plan on a 2 hours dinning event.

We visit once every two years and always stop at Claudes mini club. It is nicer now that Claude has sold to a younger person that does not hate americans ;). The music is the same every year and that is a very good thing especially his imitation of Louis Armstrong. The lobster is good but get there on time because some of the other americans beleive they need to take four lobster at each visit to the buffet. Makes the rest of us look ignorant.
The wine that is free with dinner is one step above feeble. See if you can take your own bottle.
Let me make this clear. It is well worth your time and money to visit. Make reservations !!!! The outside tables are great...unless it starts to sprinkle.

We took a break from shopping in Marigot in this second floor outdoor restaurant facing the marina. The 'special du jour' was a wonderful fish with veggies and rice, cooked to perfection. The decor is lovely, the service attentive. Including coffee, our bill came to about 12 euros each!
We loved every minute of our noontime break!

Our party of six dined at Mini Club one evening during Christmas Week. My wife and I had sliced cold lobster (langouste). Mine was in a salad which including sliced avocado). My wife had a different dish that included some cold lobster I also had fish soup which tasted fine .I don't recall what my wife's other dish was. But it was not the fish soup.

Perhaps the lobster was sliced on a table where raw chicken had been cut up, introducing salmonella to the food preparation area.

By the next morning my wife and I both had severe gastrointestinal distress (nausea, vomiting, the runs, etc. plus headaches.) We both lost two days of vacation. I was unable to attend our group's last night's dinner at Restaurant Sol et Luna. Perhaps Mimi-Club's kitchen staff needs a refresher course on safe food preparation practices.

We were eight. The service was good, food excellent, staff and delicious food choices varied. We went to the buffet on Wednesday night with lobster at will. It was a memorable evening. Thank you to Yohan, the owner and Manu, our server! Best of luck.
