My sisters and myself went to this shop as part of food tasting tour on Royal Caribbean's Harmony of the Seas last week. We had a demonstration with the owner's son which included not only samples of the cheese, but also he made a yummy pasta dish using four different cheeses. It was fantastic!
As with most tours, we were "encouraged " to purchase the cheeses involved and also a package with a grater. He reassured us that it was legal to bring these back to the US and advised that we do not put them into our checked luggage because they may freeze.
The problem came when my sister went through TSA Security with four hard cheeses that she purchased. Apparently, the cheese resembles C4 explosives! She got pulled aside, put into a separate room and not only was the cheese tested, but she was too! After an hour of this, she missed her flight and had to check into a hotel ($250). I don't know if she had to pay more her new plane ticket.
