Sorry for the long post.

As my title says it could have been better. I will start with the bad. As soon as my wife and I arrived on Saturday we felt something was off. Our concierge from the get go was a problem. I am very well travelled for work and for leisure throughout the U.S. and Caribbean. The concierge most of the time is there to assist you and make you feel welcome. Not here at Divi. Once our concierge heard we did not want to go on the timeshare sales presentation she became rude and down right useless. On Sunday we asked if she could confirm our reservation in grand case at 8:30pm. She said she would take care of it and proceeded to tell us about the managers party Monday from 6-7pm. We also told her we wanted to go to the boardwalk in phillipsburgh for dinner that night to a burger place we wanted to try. I asked if everything was closed on Sunday's or at night she of course said no you can go. We show up and everything was closed!!!!! Plus we took a cab and now I'm out $40 round trip cab ride. Monday morning we see her and she says she made the reservation at 7 even though we multiple times told her 8:30. We felt in our gut it was intentional. We then stopped by the managers party for 10 minutes as we needed to head to grand case. She handed us a raffle ticket and my wife asked what can we win the concierge replied "stuff" very nastily. Monday morning we asked her to make another reservation for us for Wednesday night she said she would. I never heard back from her. Tuesday I went and asked if she made the reservation and she replied very rudely yes. Well she could have left a voicemail or something so I knew she did it. I know this may not seem like a big deal but her attitude toward us was terrible. At this point we decided it was best to avoid her as we at no point felt welcome or appreciated that we were spending our money here.

Now the front desk. We didn't realize until our last day that we were supposed to receive a welcome packet, which we never received. The front desk never instructed us to go over to the concierge desk to get it. During the week we saw people who had drink vouchers, not sure if they were in the welcome packet or not. We checked out on the following Saturday. Friday night asked the front desk for a late checkout. The person said absolutely not but we can checkout Saturday, they would store our luggage but we could still use our towels and the pool and the rest of the facilities, and that there is a members lounge we can shower in. Saturday we went to check out and the person at the desk made us turn in our towel cards which meant no towels, so how am I supposed to use the pool, or beach etc?? Plus they were storing our luggage am I not going to return my towels?? We saw another couple we met and they were leaving late Saturday as well and they had there beach towels. My wife asked how and they said the desk allowed them to keep the towels until they left. But they weren't told about the lounge to shower in.

The GOOD finally.
We liked the resort itself a lot. It is very well maintained. It is a little older and showing some ware. It is no worse then any other resort on the beach in the Caribbean. The beach is very pretty and has a very nice view. We ate lunch at gizmo's and sea breeze which had pretty good menus and the food was very good as well. At Gizmo's we recommend the pizzas and the nacho's. The waiter staff was pretty good as well. The night bartenders at Gizmo's, Nigel and Enrique are fantastic!!! We felt the food and beverage prices were very good not overly expensive. They did have nightly entertainment at gizmos which is a nice touch.

We overall had a very nice time. My rating would have been higher If it wasn't for the inconsistent messaging from the front desk and the very rude useless concierge. I think extra customer service training could be very useful for both areas along with a consistent message. Lastly the concierge should not be trying to get guests to go on timeshare talks. This is a bit of a conflict of interest.

The beach was fabulous. You could easily walk out into the water and never hit a dip. The ocean floor was always visible and snorkelling off the point area was excellent.
The staff are pleasant and exceptionally helpful
The food was great.
The wifi was a little spotty but not at all a major problem.
I love that this location is close to Phillipsburg yet is very quiet.

We have a timeshare here and have noticed improvements over the past few years -- improved Wifi, friendlier staff, more equipment in the gym (although air conditioning there could be improved), more beach chairs and umbrellas, fewer cruise ship passengers on the beach. Only meal we ate at the resort was breakfast -- buffet was terrific;lunch was cheese and crackers from grocery store on site; and, since we know our way around the island, we drove to Grand Case or Phillipsburg for great dining.

My room was great! Wifi was ok, the beach was the main entertainment when I wasn't working! the bars were fun on the resort and plenty of alcohol to set you up in one drink, the food was the really good and fresh all times of the day on the resort

Just returned from a great week at Divi Little Bay. This is a great property with excellent amenities in a very scenic and convenient location. We stayed there 3 years ago and were very pleased, and it was clear during this visit that the management has taken this resort to the next level as we saw many improvements from our last visit. The setting can't be beat, as the resort occupies a peninsula between Great Bay and Little Bay; pretty much every room has a beautiful view. The rooms and buildings are well maintained and in very good shape. The property has hotel rooms; efficiencies, one and two bedroom suites with kitchenettes and huge bathrooms; and one bedroom Casitas with larger kitchens, so there is an option to meet most any requirements. The staff was very pleasant, helpful and attentive, across the board, not always the case in the Caribbean. There are 3 restaurants, and this was probably the weak area during our last visit; however I have nothing but complements for the food service now. We ate several times at each venue, and the breakfasts, lunches and dinners were all excellent. The menus are nicely varied and fairly priced. We did not have even one mediocre meal. There is a very long beach, three swimming pools and lots of shady areas if you want to escape the sun. Bottom line, I highly recommend this resort - it was a great place that has gotten even better!
