“Divi Little Bay - Our Paradise!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 22, 2014

My husband and I were lucky to fall onto Divi some 15 years ago
while visiting on a cruise stop for one day - Paradise found!
Seeing some of the critical comments on trip advisor, I must
admit I take it personal, being owners and appreciating
"our Divi" for the past 15 years, and calling Divi home for
4-5 weeks each year.
We love the picture perfect beauty of the resort, the unique
location overlooking Great Bay and Little Bay, the wonderful
and well kept grounds, beautiful beach and crystal turquoise
waters, not to forget the pools and very important good Security!
We have come to appreciate so many staff members - thank
you to the Reception staff, always a smile of welcome back,
helpful and responsive if we need assistance with anything.
Everyone in housekeeping and maintenance - Elvis for night
supervision at the Front Desk, Haresh always professional
and informative, and especially Sandra - most helpful and
accommodating - thank you.
In regards to some unhappy guest being annoyed about
ongoing renovations during their stay at the resort - we
as owners are happy to see this happening, especially
during low season.
Thank you to all Divi staff - we'll see you in January.
Manuela - Vancouver, Canada

I loved the resort it had a lot of activities and a fort that I really enjoyed. I also like that lil bay is a great place to snorkel if you brought your own gear. I do not how ever like the fact that you have to take a sharp turn or go to a different hotel and turn around to get to the resort. The staff was friendly and helpful. The even help set up attractions so that you can relax. Over all great experience and thanks for making it a memorable honeymoon.

Divi is a great spot to spend your day ashore if you come by cruise ship. First, it is a very short cab ride, much shorter and cheaper than the main tourist spots. Second, it is very quiet. Third, two chairs and an umbrella will cost you a mere $15 for as long as you are there. Unlike some places, it is easy to get a cab back to the ship as the resort has a taxi stand. There is a restaurant and bar right on the beach that provides all the food and adult beverages you'd want -- yes it is pricey but not really compared with other places on the island.

We stayed at Divi Little Bay in St Martin July 13-18 for our 20th wedding anniversary. We had a one bedroom villa which was very nice. The villa had a living room, dining room, kitchen, master suite with master bath and an additional large full bathroom with a very nice balcony. Upon arrival we were immediately taken care of by the friendly staff. Our concierge, Julinia was very friendly and was very helpful in making our stay a great one. She was very helpful in suggesting activities we would enjoy and even fave us coupons to several local restaurants. The activities director, Eugene was also excellent at helping plan activities and excursions and helped us get the best deals and savings. I was initially disappointed that our room didn't have a beach view but instead a view of Great Bay. I soon came to love and enjoyed the beautiful view and watching the cruise ships come in each morning. The resort has three restaurants with a nice bar. They also had theme nights and entertainment with plenty of activities for adults and kids. Although not the nicest beach in St Martin, it was very nice and private. We even attended the timeshare presentation but didn't purchase anything. We did receive a voucher for a free excursion. The salesman Haresh, was very informative without being overly pushy.

We were able to rent a car on site which was convenient.

The one downside or slight disadvantage would be the location. While I loved the resort, we had to drive or taxi to off site restaurants and other attractions. After being out on excursions I did enjoy coming back to the resort to relax in our villa or on the beach.

Overall we enjoyed our stay at Divi Little Bay. The lobby area and some other buildings are currently being renovated and I would love to go back and visit again. Would definitely stat at this resort again.

Room Tip: If you want a beach view, ask in advance

We were staying at our condo in Simpson Bay Resort, and were invited to visit our friend who were at Divi Little Bay Beach Resort. We were three for two nights, and found the resort to be as nice , or better, than the other quality resorts on the island. On the other hand, it was not island specific, and if you closed the drapes you could just as well be in New Jersey, or Boston. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. We enjoyed our visit, and found the beach to be very nice.

Room Tip: The first floor rooms make beach access extremely easy, and fast. However, if you prefer a better vi...

This was our second time at Divi Little Bay, after a great experience 5 years ago.
The first time we stayed there was right after the island was hit by Hurricane Omar, and a lot of the hotel grounds were destroyed. It was great to see how nice the hotel is when it's fully operational.
We are a family of 4, and had initially booked a studio suite with a king bed, a sofa bed and a small kitchen, for 10 days. The bathroom was huge, with a big tub and a separate shower. The only complaint we had was about the room being on ground floor, so there was little view of the beach because of the garden and trees in front.
Around the 6th day we arrived at the hotel to find the lamp fixture of the separate shower removed and on top of the bathroom counter, so there was no light on the shower portion of the bathroom. When contacting the front desk, at first they had no idea what had happended, but once they contacted the maintenance staff, we were told we should not use the shower because there was a leak, and that was why the lamp fixture was removed.
We asked to switch rooms, to what the front desk replied they were fully booked, since it was early January. They did promise to try and contact some of the timeshare owners to see if any of those properties would be available, and about 2 hours later we were moved to an excellent one bedroom unit, and the next day we got a US$100 voucher for food and beverage at the hotel with a written apology from the manager. Nice touch!
The hotel overall is great, nice food on all the restaurants we went to, and the beach in front of the hotel is fantastic. Nice location too, close to Phillipsburg, but with such a relaxed atmosphere.
The free wi fi and parking are a plus to what was already a great place.

Place was clean and beautiful. Staff was pleasant and very helpful. Location was centrally located and perfect. Property was right on the beach and beach was BEAUTIFUL!! Only negative (not about the hotel) - island is missing a quality golf course.

Room Tip: All rooms have great views
