“Outstanding villa, outstanding view, and outstanding hosts.”

If you want to feel like the most important person in the world, come stay at this villa.

Booking with Tea who is actually in a different country was prompt and always delightful.

We arrived at the airport and had a driver that picked us up and gave us a fantastically informational ride to the Holland House where we were to pick up our rental that was setup by the owner.

We also met Paul Tea's son. He offered us a drink in the Hotel bar and gave us a wonderful idea of what to do. He then escorted us to our rental vehicle and took us to the villa. This was welcomed because it is not easy to find the first time up the mountain. But when you crest the top and start down towards the villa, OMG!!

Just an update to some of the older reviews the road to the villa that was previously dirt is now paved except on one of the flat spots and a 4 wheel drive is NOT required. We drove a Hyundai elantra all week with no trouble at all. It is best to back out of the drive way go down the hill a little further and turn around rather than trying to turn around from the driveway.

Paul lives above the villa with his wife and two kids (Don't worry they are quieter than church mice on Sunday, honestly if I had not seen them during the week i would not have known there were kids here and they had a friend over too). And then there are the two dogs, Zorro the Rotti and Rocky (or Lady if you forget her name for a week). Rocky is the greeter each evening and morning and Zorro shows up instantly if you set one foot on the road to walk down the cliff. Keep an eye on old Rocky girl she likes to slip in when your not paying attention and sneak a quick pet. Shh don't tell Paul. They listen very well and if you don't want them around just tell them to go and they will but they are completely happy just to lay at your feet while you are on the deck.

The villa is cozy and clean. As we entered there was beautiful Cafe Del Mar music playing over an ipod hooked to a speaker system. A bottle of wine was chilling on the table, cold beer in the fridge and we were hooked. The little extras that are completely unexpected made it feel like we were VIPs. And then when the sun went down all we did was sit on the deck overlooking the rocky cliffs and Caribbean Ocean listening to the wind and relaxing, it was hard to stay away from home at night just for this reason. You have no choice but to relax!

I can not say enough good things about this place, its not on a beach and access to the remote rocky beach at the bottom of the cliff is crazy romantic and incredibly beautiful but it is not something you can do if you are not able to climb a long steep set of stairs. It is exercise but so worth it if you can do it. If not you can be at one of 36 beautiful beaches in minutes.

We had an incredible time and would definitely stay here again without hesitation.

Outstanding villa, outstanding view, and outstanding hosts. Not a resort and not for those who need to be waited on or need daily service, this is for people who want to be secluded and want to leave the world behind. All though there is cable TV and internet service for those who just can't let it go. :)

Thanks Tea, Paul and I can't believe we never got Mrs. Pau'ls name but she is fantastic to speak with, these are the kind of people you would have as friends for sure.

PS: I recommend visitors stay away from the Dutch salted licorice, it tastes just like salt water.

“Perfect quiet getaway with the view all to yourself!”

This was by far the best decision we made as far as planning our trip. My boyfriend and I stayed here for a week and couldn't have enjoyed ourselves more. The family is so kind and friendly-two polite and friendly boys and two wonderful and kind dogs. The dogs came over to visit frequently, which we whole heartily enjoyed-laying at our feet calmly while we read books on the porch.

We are the kind of people that like to make our own breakfast and even made our own dinner most nights while on vacation-for costs, and because it was so quiet and serene at the apartment it was hard to see the attraction of leaving the tranquility of the rental. The kitchen was fully stocked-we had all the pots and pans we needed to cook up all of our meals-the grill was great too!

There was a tv with a dvd player and a few DVD's to watch-and we read about 5 books that were available in the library. They do have down pillows on the bed-if you're allergic, I am sure Tea and Paul could accommodate you if you let them know in advance.

Tea and Paul, the owners, were so incredibly kind and helpful-if we were to ever stay on the island again, we wouldn't think twice as to where to stay.

I also HIGHLY recommend having a meal at Paul's hotel, the Holland Beach Hotel. We had lunch there before heading to the airport to leave, and it was certainly the best meal of the whole vacation.

Liked best: How calm and tranquil it was after spending the day on a crowded beach/restaurant/etc. So great to be away from it all.
Liked least: The only thing I can think of is the roads to get to the property are pretty steep (compared to the US) with a bit of a rough/dirt road patch at one point. I was glad to not be the one driving, certainly at night!

This place is fabulous. We disembarked from a 2 weeks cruise and stayed here at Point Blanc. The view is spectacular, the pictures do not do it justice. It was so relaxing that we did not leave the first day. We spent 5 days here and never tired of it. It is very quiet. Be sure to bring soap and shampoo. Stop for provisions before you arrive. The drive here is scary the first time, but Paul will very graciously show you the way. The place is immaculate and beautiful. We loved it.

“Great, peaceful & private place with spectacular view !”
Reviewed January 10, 2013 for a stay in January 2013

We stayed in Villa Sphere for 9 days in Nov/Dec 2012. The booking correspondence was excellent. The owners also helped us to rent a suitable car and organised the transport from the airport to the Holland House Hotel to pick up a rental car.

The villa was just perfect size for us, one bedroom, living room, kitchen, bathroom, furnished terrace and free Wi-fi, and it was clean and comfortable. The location was slightly remote and therefore peaceful - just what we were looking for the great relaxing holiday.

The Dog Rocky and her mates were great company and she guaranteed that we felt very safe during our stay.

Highly recommended!

“Perfect Safe and Secluded place!”

My Wife and I stayed in this villa for two weeks June 11th-25th. It was much better than it looked or sounded from the pictures and description. When we arrived we were very kindly welcomed by Paul's wife, and told that if we ever needed anything to let her know. They did a fabulous job of being available to answer any questions without ever being in our way. The view from the main room has to be the best villa view on the whole island. It is also only a few minute walk down to the shoreline below (which can be seen from one of the pictures). Point Blanche is a private area of the island that is not easily accessible so we always felt very safe and never had to worry about anyone bothering our stuff. If we ever go back to St Maarten this will be our first choice of a place to stay because out of two weeks on the island we never saw a place that looked better. Perfect for anyone who wants a secluded area to themselves!

“Great value in a beautiful setting”

We stayed here for two weeks in January of 2011. We were met at the airport and taken to the Holland House Hotel for a drink and to pick up the car rental, just as promised. The apartment is one bedroom, clean and modern. The bedroom is air conditioned. The apartment is located about 5 minutes from Phillipsburg in Point Blanche. You have to go up and down some steep and winding roads to get there, thus the need for a 4 wheel drive. The 4 wheel drive is mainly needed to get back up the hill when leaving, as it is unpaved.

For the price, this is a great location. It is not luxurious, no pool etc., but very comfortable.

The view from the deck is spectacular. It was wonderful to sit and watch the birds and the boats go by. You can hike down to a rocky beach if you are in shape. It is not easy but worth it.

It has a charcoal bbq, a gas bbq would have been nice. There was maid service once during our stay. There was one problem with the shower but it was fixed promptly by the owners who live upstairs.

The bonus is Rocky the dog, who lives upstairs and was a great companion to us during our stay.
