We actually stayed at Jade Mountain last year and loved every bit of it. The resort and views are breath taking ( as is the walk up and down to the beach but we enjoyed burning off all the meals/drinks). We spent plenty of time in our beautiful Moon Sanctuary but also started each day with a fabulous run through the jungle. We snorkeled, kayaked, went on a private sail, had a great massage, and spent hours on the beach. At Jade you can stay active if you want or do nothing at all. We opted for the helicopter transfers which I feel we're worth it, if even for the scenery and thrill, but a car would've been just fine too. The meals at Jade were wonderful. We had dinner each night at Jade and every one was amazing. We are fairly low maintenance and didn't use the Major Domos extensively, but they were there when we needed them and overall the service was great. I've never stayed at a place anything like Jade. I will say the black sand and darker waters caught me a little by surprise when I was expecting sugar white and crystal blue but the entire Island is so breath taking that it's no where near a turn off. Went in July and had no issues with bugs or heat at night. Go there with the mind set of embracing the walks, the birds, the open rooms and you'll love it.
