The good are all obvious to all
The bad: The last 15 minutes of the hour ride are hell. Dangerous, tight and chopped up roads deter you from leaving the resort. They dont fix it because they want to keep the locals out. Nights are so dark in the room you cant see your own hands. To keep the bugs out. Early AM the black birds will drive you nuts with their high decibel screeching. Everyone has their hands out for a tip...3 people to carry your luggage? Beach is hideous. Too many steps to everything.
Day time in your room is great but otherwise disappointing for the price.

Room Tip: All rooms are equally good.

Difficult to know where to start, rooms with the 3 wall concept are fabulous; view across to the Pitons is incredible. Food in all the restaurants was excellent and the service, particularly from the personal butler could not be faulted.
Walking down to the beach was a pleasure and if you wanted to come back up you rang the butler who arranged a shuttle. We particularly liked the food in the Jade Club and at Apsana on the beach - a great Indian / Caribbean fusion.
We used the spa (excellent) and went jungle mountain biking, great fun and the guide was very informative. Outside the hotel we went on the volcano tour (very enjoyable) and climbed Gross Piton (fabulous views from the top but when they say "strenuous hike they really mean like climbing the stairs for a 2,600 foot skyscraper but the steps are uneven, made of tree routes and rocks and it is in a jungle but great fun)

We got married there in May. We ended up staying for 12 days, so upwards of 30K for the best suite. One thing you need to keep in mind is the pools are not heated and not geared towards swimming. No worries on AC as you are so high up that it never gets to hot. The beach is a hike down the mountain! Our wedding was on a private beach and the photographer took 2018 pics. Keep in mind it was just us two, no guests! The food was very good but it gets old after a week. I reccommend no more than 7 days...if you can afford that.

The staff was amazing. Our three domos were at our side throughout the trip. They wove flowers into my wife's hair the day of the wedding. The views are some of the best in the world, especially when you consider you are looking at the Piton mts with no windows, wall so or other obstructions from your bed no less. We asked for chocolate covered strawberries which they did not have. So they had them flown in and made them look like tuxedo butler men with white and dark chocolate.

The cool thing about the property is obviously no walls, but how they manage sound is interesting. The infinity pools drain off into a big gutter system that flows down the exterior of the rooms. If you get loud they simply turn up the flow of the water creating a natural barrier of sound. One of the most amazing places I have seen in terms of nature. Bring your Bose portable for music and a laptop for movies if yuo so desire as they have no TV or tunes. If yuo are in love you will not miss the TV because the natural environment sucks you in. Definitely take the helicopter inbound as it really sets the stage for a mindblowing expereince!!! The first morning when you wake to birds chiring through your room and you open your eyes to the Pitons staring you down you really will lose your breath for a moment! A real treat for the senses!

Definitely get the all-inclusive package! It is a no brainer financially for alcohol alone!

Room Tip: The rooms are priced according to views and size. Make sure you get a pool. Keep in mind the time...

I do not have one bad word to say about this place. Stayed there for one night and my mind was blown. It was unreal.

When you walk out and see the bridges connected to the rooms the first thing i said was " Holy [--]" My jaw dropped, and that was just the beginning, you walk into your room and there are only three walls with an infinity pool a bottle of champagne awaiting you. You are given a cell phone to speak to your personal concierge. Showers, Jacuzzi all open with the open wall in the background (unbelieveable architecture).

We arrived pretty late and i was afraid we would miss dinner but as soon as we arrived they told us that our table was already reserved and they had been awaiting our arrival.

Made our trip to the restaurant, the food was amazing and the service was even better. We had no issues with sleeping, once you turn the fans on it cools the place down, and if you get too hot take a dip in your personal infinity pool.

Finally in the morning we were able to see the view of the Pitons, not sure how many pictures i took but it was more than what i took during the first 4 days staying in rodney bay. Unreal.

This by far has to be the number one hotel in the caribbean let alone the world. A trip of a lifetime for sure and will never be forgotten. If you are thinking about it DO IT.

TIP: it does take a bit of a trek to get there so get ready for a bumpy ride, but what else do you expect? your climbing up a mountain.

The service is amazing, resort is gorgeous, and the food is excellent. Yes, it's pricey, but worth it. We plan to go back next fall. I highly recommend Jade mountain. So romantic. Teddy was a fabulous butler, go take a sailboat ride with Kerwin for sure.

Our advice: GO NOW AND STOP THINKING ABOUT IT!! This is definitely the most amazing place that we have traveled, to date. We checked in mid-Ocotber and stayed for a week (they had to force us back on the plane!) Yes, it took us a bit to get there (45min from UVF) and the roads were a bit bumpy (it is not a 1st World Country!)...but it is absolutely worth your "troubles".

We had a butler staff of two - there was always instant coverage for our wants! The food was always *fresh* and delicious, the service staff was knowledgeable and professional, and the accommodations were amazing. I can't find a negative comment - and it isn't for lack of trying!

If you don't want to walk up and down the hill to beach, call the shuttle! If it is too loud at night (honeymooners or tree frogs or birds), put in your ear plugs - it IS open air, after all. If it a little too warm to sleep, take a dip in your pool that is 10 steps away (without having to put on a suit!).

RECOMMENDATION #1: Do an all-inclusive plan for food - the best value you can get! Paying a la carte will break your budget there and getting into town/off the resort is not easy if you want to buy your own food to save pennies.

RECOMMENDATION #2: This place in NOT CHEAP! Don't try to do this place on slim budget. This is meant to be the stay of a lifetime, so down get bogged down into try to save while you're there - it will ruin the experience. The all-inclusive meal plans are absolutely worth it and take all the financial worry about it before you even get there! Get the infinity pool, get the meal plan and enjoy the hell out of it!!

There are plenty of reviews on here - so I don't need to continue. This place is truly AMAZING!!! Now, go book your trip and send me a thank you note after :o)

Room Tip: All the rooms are amazing. Get one with an infinity pool, if you can swing it.

This most outstanding resort was a little piece of heaven. I don't even know where to begin;
The architecture is wonderfully unique you are one with nature and the views are mesmerising.
The accommodation itself is wonderfully comfortable (we stayed in both Anse Chastanet and Jade Mountain) and you feel extremely pampered all the way through. Every detail is thought of and the staff is extremely friendly and helpful but all so professional too. Nothing you ask for is too much and the organisation is wonderful. Excellent food and wine, impeccable service each and everyone of the restaurants...
One mustn't forget the beach where the water is clear, the sun beds cleans and comfortable and the service and care one of a kind.
Special thanks to driver Roger M. who shuttled me up and down endlessly....
