“A gem in the rough!”

For those of you looking for a resort type meal with a local twist and a lower price, this is definitely the place! If you are looking for Burger King prices, this will be pricey like a high priced resort. If you are staying in one of the expensive resorts (Sugar Beach, Jade Mountain, Ladera), this will be like Burger King prices!! In other words, it's priced right down the middle.
Getting there is not nearly as difficult as it may seem from other reviews or directions you may get. Driving through Soufriere, you go inland at the south corner of the big Catholic Church and drive about a mile. You can not miss it. No, it does not have a beach or water view, but the view of the mountains is great. The owner, Edmund, is an awesome fellow. Gregarious and open to spending as much time as you want with him to talk about food, culture or anything else. Since he had visited TX before, we had a lot to talk about. He was previously at Jade Mountain resort, so he knows his food. We liked it so much, we went back a second day. A very simple menu that is done extremely well, you will not be disappointed.
This place was one of our favorites of the entire trip. The only reason it doesn't get even more business is the reluctance of many to venture into the town of Soufiere. C'mon people! If you're going to travel all the way to St Lucia try experiencing some places OFF the resort grounds and in the towns that people actually live. It's safe, it's clean and it's delicious!

“Don't judge a book by its cover.”

This restaurant is new. The food is fantastic and the staff is very welcoming. It's a pricey menu, but worth it. It's still a learning experience for them. So you don't get water on the table or offered water. We couldn't find the light switch in the bathroom. No towel to wipe your hands after you wash them. It's a work In progress but you can tell they work hard and are trying. Definitely don't pass it up

“Perhaps we were there at the wrong time”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 15, 2014

On our recent visit to Soufriere, we wanted to go into town for a meal, to obtain something more local as opposed to resort dining. I was left wondering if this was the right choice for our dinner in town. We enjoyed our food here (mahi mahi for me, fish wrap for my husband, shared ceviche), but we were the only patrons here at dinner. It felt a little odd being the only folks here, in a dark corner of town. Perhaps the quiet was because it was on the earlier side, because it was Monday, or due to the time of year (?). I can see how the experience would be different if there were more people around or even at lunch. The food was tasty, and the servers were attentive and polite - I do hope that their restaurant does well. It's worth a try if you're in the area (I'd give it a 3.5 if I could).

“An excellent taste of local!”

We had an incredibly delicious dinner here and Edmund couldn't have been more attentive. The ceviche is a definite 'must try' and everything else was great too. Thank you so much for such a great meal memory on a great trip!
