Our resort, Villa Beach Cottages, made reservations for us to have lunch at Orlando's at the end of our day trip to Soufriere. It came highly recommended and we were not disappointed.

They happily accommodated our large group of ten (including two vegetarians)! We enjoyed fresh juice to start. From there we ordered wine and cocktails. We were served four delicious courses for lunch. Each bite was just delightful. While we ate lunch we were treated to wonderful steel drum music in Orlando's courtyard.

Orlando and his staff were so kind to us. We wish them continued success for many years to come. We look forward to returning to the island and to Orlando's!

After a swim at the public, Humming Bird Beach in Soufriere, we had lunch at Orlando;s new restaurant. It is small, nicely decorated, with outdoor dinning. Lunch was excellent, fresh fish, salad and soup with a nice glass of wine. Orlando himself is quite charming and seems to find the time to talk with all visitors. The only recommendation I would make is to add something dark chocolate to the menu. I know they grow cocoa in St. Lucia.

My wife, sister and her husband ate at Orlando' s on last Friday. We had no reservations but Orlando and his staff were accommodated us with a table. We had two steak and fish dinners which were fabulous. After dinner, Orlando came out to our table and were able to get a picture with him. Overall, the food and service were excellent.
I highly recommend this restaurant.

My wife and I had lunch today at Orlando's. After reading the raves on TA and talking to folks about it we decided to see what the hoopla was about. The place lived up to all the glowing reviews. The place was full for lunch, thankfully we had reservations and although we were a bit early we were seated immediately. Orlando came out of the kitchen to greet us almost as soon as we sat down, and we saw him several times while service was going on. The meu was a fixed menu with a choice of 2 entree's chicken or fish. I got Chicken the wife got fish. we started with a gazpacho that was simply delicious, very fresh and a bit of spice..this was followed by a very nice salad presented in a hollow tomatoe..it to was delightful. My wife said the fish was excellent and the chicken was perfectly cooked and the presentation was spot on. After he was done cooking the chef came out and mingled with the various guests and explained his culinary point of view of fressh local food done right. If this visit was any indication, he is doing it very well. The only glitch in the whole meal was the fact that we were through the salad before we finally asked for a cocktail;..we were never asked if we wanted a drink (Other than water) this was a small oversight and understandable due to the full house. Highly recommended. The resturant does still have a view of the Pitons so orlando didnt give up the view as another reviewer has stated.

We heard about Orlando's from our guide at the volcano. She told us he used to be the chef at a different leading restaurant in Soufriere. They weren't serving dinner yet at 5pm, but they were very accommodating considering we didn't have reservations. He let us come back a little early with our sons, after we killed some time on the beach. The food was fresh and amazing, mouth watering soup, salad, and entree. My husband even had two desserts, it was so good! He was very attentive to our needs as vegetarians, and even made something special for our children who are rather picky eaters. The wait staff was extremely efficient and helpful. The restaurant itself is very small but cute and well decorated and well appointed. We had a long drive back to Rodney Bay, and after meeting Orlando, we decided to get a hotel for the night just so we could take our time and enjoy our special meal. I would absolutely recommend this restaurant to anybody in the Soufriere area. I recommend making a reservation, though - I think we were lucky with our timing, but it filled up fast and we saw them turn several people away.
