We visited the Diamond Botanical Gardens as part of a "Best of Both Worlds" full day tour put on my Barefoot Holidays.....this full day tour was a complete waste of money.

Unfortunately we had a terrible guide....blatantly sexist and not very well informed....and he basically rushed us through the gardens to get to the waterfall (which is underwhelming to say the least) and then made a few sparse comments about a few of the flowers on the way back to the bus.

The Botanical Gardens are quite small and the waterfall is more of a water trickle. Range of plants is limited....overall not really worth the bother to see it.

Loved the mineral baths, we took the private bath and found it very therapeutic and relaxing. The gardens had every plant and flower indigenous to St.Lucia, lots of hummingbirds and dragonfly's of every color. Beautiful peaceful place.

Nice to visit a tropical garden on a tropical isle. Very nice presentation of the gardens and Diamond Falls. Nice peaceful visit after a few hours on a ship excursion bus.

We stopped here on a tour as part of visiting the volcano & pitons. Very pleasant way to spend an hour & see excellent examples of common house plants in their "natural" state. For a keen gardener it's a must-do. Some parts of the garden are not accessible at the moment due to the effects of Hurricane Thomas, which caused major damage here, although the recovery is impressive. There are photos showing the damage caused - must have been heart-breaking. Probably not worth a trip in its own right as there isn't enough to see to justify more than an hour's visit. There are "guides" available who will show you around - I think they are freelance so rely on tips. Ours was certainly worth the money however and very friendly and knowledgeable.
