“Worth a visit if you've never seen a tropical rainforest”
Reviewed February 16, 2013

This tour was part of a catamaran sail along the west coast and also included a visit to the sulphur springs and volcano.

The best part of this visit was our guide. He seemed quite knowledgeable and I loved his stories about famous people who had visited the gardens (like Superman). Because I come from the tropics, many of the plants and birds were very familiar to me. It was interesting to see a waterfall with gray coloured water. I was quite appreciative of how protective St. Lucians are about their natural environment. Kudos to you!!!

“Beautiful Jungle Gardens - Kinda Interesting Waterfall”
Reviewed February 14, 2013

We really enjoyed our hour-long stroll through the well-marked Botanical Gardens. Beautiful setting, with many types of flowers, birds, etc. Lots of photo-opportunities.

The Diamond Falls were worth a visit. Interesting, fairly tall rust-colored waterfall in a jungle setting. However, they are as much a "tourist trap" as anything else on the island. If you have a choice, there are better, more natural and secluded waterfalls and mineral baths on St. Lucia (Piton Falls and New Jerusalem Baths come to mind). However, I will say that both the Botanical Gardens and Diamond Waterfall are more easily accessible to folks with mobility issues than some of the other, more secluded attractions on St. Lucia.

I felt the entrance fee was worth it for the Botanical Gardens - others might find the waterfall more interesting.

“One of the highlights of St. Lucia”
Reviewed February 13, 2013

The Diamond Botanical Gardens also contain the Diamond Waterfall even though it has a separate listing on Trip Advisor. My review encompasses both.

The falls are extremely unique due to all the minerals deposited on the rock from the grey mud water that comes from the volcano. The falls are not high but the colours are magnificent.

The gardens are pure paradise. If one had to choose between seeing Mamiku Gardens (which I have also reviewed) and DIamond Gardens the latter would win hands down. I have been told that May is the best month in St. Lucia to see flowers and trees at their most beautiful be this was pretty good for Janaury.

We toured the Falls and Gardens as part of the land and sea tour that we booked through SunLInk Tours. If is by far the best tour of the island that you will find (a taxi driver verified this) and it is of excellent value at only US$135 for an 11 hour excursion. I have reviewed other site that we saw on this tour.

“Pretty waterfall”
Reviewed February 10, 2013

The Diamond Botanical Gardens was one of the stops on a larger tour we took. We kind of were rushed through looking at the flowers. The Diamond waterfall was pretty...it was just one waterfall. Not much to write home about.

“Our guide was terrific!”
Reviewed February 8, 2013

We had a wonderful guided tour of the gardens. Amazing variety of plants, flowers, nuts and history of each. Hard to keep up! All organic so no mosquitoes, which was a bonus. Worth the trip if you like fauna and flora...
