Having been there before, I was surprised to find that it was still quite with just the sound of birds and waterWell worth going to see.

This is a lovely conservation park boasting lush tropical flora and fauna. Guides are available, but we toured the site on our own. The garden was given to the present owners by the King of England centuries ago...but now I forget the owners' name! The spring and waterfall are now off limits to guests due to falling rocks, but the mineral baths are open. Be sure to present your entry ticket for access to the bath. This is a nice, gentle hike for anyone with mobility issues. Make sure your camera is charged and has a lot of memory. This is not an adventure hike. It is for those who appreciate horticulture and possibly bird watching. I would visit again and I am under 40.

Very beautiful place! Our guide was Alexander "the Great" or the "Walking Internet". He was very informative and funny.

Diamond Botanical Gardens, located in a sheltered gorge at the foot of the Pitons, is home of the Diamond Waterfall and the oldest botanical gardens on the island of St. Lucia. The Botanic Garden is a private estate. Glad we opted for “freelance” guide and very glad we did. She was very informative ($20 gratuity). The flowers were just beautiful! Deep within the botanical gardens, water bubbling from underground sulfur springs streams downhill in rivulets, forming the Diamond Waterfall. I believe it is a must see.

Amazingly lush and varied plantings, a waterfall, and mineral spring soaking pools. Arrange for a knowledgeable guide through your hotel/cab driver: all guides are "freelance," and we heard a tremendous difference in the quality of commentary, from intelligent and interesting, to offhand and abysmal. The soaking pools are worth the extra fee, and there are changing rooms available.
