The day before the last day, we were staying at the north side of the island and didn't want to drive to Anse Chastanet. Solomon and his brother picked us up at Rodney Bay and took us to the beach, mentioning some sites along the way. Dropped us off at the beach and had agreed on 4PM pick-up. He came at 3PM. The snorkeling was excellent and my adult daughters got the chance to tour Jade Mountain.
The taxi was a last minute excursion and it was only us three so since the price was the same as the tours mentioned below, it probably was fair. We should have looked into it sooner as the lunch on the beach and a stop at Anse Mamin would have been nice. He and his brother were very kind and professional. Boat was in good repair and he adjusted speed to minimize the bumping .

Solomon was great. he was hanging out with his sister that sells things at the back of the public section of sugar beach. I research a lot before i go on vacation so i recognized his shirt that appropriately said Solomon Taxi. and struck up a conversation with him. he asked me what i wanted to do or see while on the island and we just talked about the things he could provide. I thanked him for his time and went back over to talk to my girlfriend, she doesn't want to be the one to negotiate. Solomon didnt come over and hassle us to try to push us into anything he just hung back, as his shirt said, no pressure, no problem. Went back over to Solomon and discussed pricing for a few things me and my girlfriend would like to do. pricing was comparable to what we had been seeing other companies list pricing for, but his boat is not packed with tons of people falling off the side of the boat. we ultimately decided to do the gros piton climb on one day and then the sulfur springs, falls and coast tour another day. he gave us a great price to combine all of it into one price. Please note that the Gros hike will kick your but and you will be sore for a full day after the hike and views are better at tet paul. We also found an awesome couple staying in Soufriere the same time and emailed Solomon to see if we could have them join too to cut down the cost and it made it even that much cheaper per person. the sulfur springs were great and the guide we had was great. he told us to let the mud dry even longer on our faces and drove us to the waterfalls to wash it off under the waterfall. Your skin will feel very very soft! 4 people was perfect for his boat, he provided drinks, both alcoholic and non. he didn't bug us with a load of information while on the tour which was great, we enjoyed taking in the sun and visiting with our new friends. doing the coast tour will make you feel very fortunate to be in Soufriere. You have to dinner one night at Ladara, at sunset! Solomon was great, no pressure, and was willing to answer any request or question you had. if you don't like large groups of overweight tourists, book a more intimate day with Solomon.

We were on a 2 week cruise and were in Castries all day. I knew we didn't want to travel around the windy roads on St Lucia, so I can contacted Solomon beforehand to show us the sights via water and go snorkeling to the best beaches. He picked us up early right next to the cruise terminal, showed us Marigot Bay, we snorkeled at Anse Chastenet, and then spent the afternoon at sugar beach where he provided lunch and beach chairs in the shade under trees between the Pitons. It was the most picturesk spot on out whole cruise. It was truly a family endeavor - his sister ran a kiosk at the beach where she kept drinks cold for us, his mom fixed us a typical Caribbean lunch and another family member was in charge of the email reservation. Solomon was an informative guide and his boat was just like ll the locals use around the island (perhaps not the most comfortable boat, however we liked the local flare that it added) It was so much better than going on a touristy excursion. The only downside was the rough hour ride back to the ship against the prevailing winds. We barely made it in time for the second time on our cruise! We paid him in cash- $100/person, I believe. (PS- even tho the ship was stopping at Soufriere to pick up passengers, they only let the people on certain ship sponsored excursions join them at this port) It would have been so much easier if we could have done that also.

Our group of 7 arrived via cruise ship with the desire to hike Gros Piton. I contacted Solomon tours in advance via email and asked for a price quote on transportation to and from Gros Piton. He immediately sent me two quotes, one just for transportation the other for an all inclusive tour that included transportation, tour guides up the mountain, lunch and a snorkeling stop. We chose the all inclusive offer. The tour usually costs $125/pp but he gave us a group discount of $100/pp and it was worth every penny and then some. Solomon and his brother picked us up at the cruise terminal at 8:30 a.m.and took as to the beach at the base of Gros Piton. He had arranged to have our guides waiting at the beach for us. He provided us with water for the hike and the guides had walking sticks for us. The guides were very friendly and accommodating. (Make sure you tip your hiking guides). As we neared the end of the hike the guides contacted Solomon so he would be there to pick us up when we finished. After the hike Solomon took us to what I believe was sugar beach for lunch. His mother and his sister were there, they had beach chairs set up for us in the shade and provided us with a nice lunch and a cooler full of drinks. There were restrooms where we could change into our swimsuits. They also have a small souvenir stand that had reasonable prices. After lunch they provided us with snorkeling gear and we set off to another bay to snorkel but decided we were too exhausted from the hike and chose to skip the snorkeling. On the way back to the ship they gave us a tour of the bays along the shore, and information about the different communities. It was very interesting and the scenery is stunning. I highly recommend Solomon tours for your excursion in St. Lucia, he and his family provide great service and it was the highlight of our visit to the Caribbean.
