“Fond Doux - cool name, but disappointing experience”
Reviewed December 27, 2012

We heard about Fond Doux as it is one of the few restaurants near Ladera. We went there for dinner - it was pretty empty and the menu was much much more limited than as shown on line. I got a steak that was so fatty that I ended up feeding most of it to the stray cat that was literally pawing at my leg underneath the table. I do not recommend.

Thank you for your feedback.

You may wish to know that we are currently making changes to the menus and we have created some exciting new dishes.

Socks is one of the estate pets and is being taken care of by the staff and owners. He is highly pampered by our guests and personally welcomes everyone to Fond Doux Holiday Plantation.
He has also become well known on Tripadvisor.

Hopefully, you will give us another opportunity to share our new selections.

Best Regards,
Eroline and Lyton Lamontagne

“Great Stay”
Reviewed December 10, 2012

My husband and I stayed at the Fond Doux Holiday Plantation on our honeymoon. We loved staying at the active cocoa plantation and getting to see the local agriculture and culture everyday. Beverly was our favorite waitress at the Jardin Cocoa Restaurant. She made us feel very welcome and was always laughing and having a great time right along with us. The food was delicious, especially the banana flambe and the cocorita!

“Lovely piece of St.Lucia.”
Reviewed December 8, 2012

We really enjoyed our lunch and drinks there. The rum punch was awesome and my hubby had quite a few Piton. Hey That's the beer of St.Lucia after all. The atmosphere was grrreat. This lovely St.Lucian restaurant is built out of Bamboo. Beautiful flowers and great, big plants surrounded the restaurant. (Not sure of the name of the flowers). We had the creole soup and special with fresh fish in a curry. WOW.

We discovered this place by accident on our way to the airport on the west coast. We will be back though as the staff were really funny and nice. ..

Thank you for your feedback.

We are aware that everyone has a right to their opinion however, we feel it is necessary for us to clear the fact that we do not serve burnt food at our restaurant.

We hope that you will give us another opportunity to serve you .

The buffet was good with few creole dish - aunt's pea, baked chicken curry, local fish, carribean rice, salad..rum punch/ grape fruit were refreshing... No desserts only some plantain dish..Nice garden setting...I got to do the cocorina dance on the cocoa beans which is done to polish the beans!
