We stayed in St Lucia close to Marthas. We wanted to taste local island food. So we would call martha about 45 min ahead & order "Take away"----WOW---Lots of food in a clamshell box. Very reasonable. It was so good we ate about their 6 times in 2 weeks.
Just remember--this is no McDs so be prepared to wait for Home cooked dinner.
One time we were leaving Jalousie early in morning to go to Margot & it was raining hard--our little car would not climb out of the valley (Just spin the tires)--So we just backed up & went to marthas for breakfast.----The food was just as good for breakfast as it was fo dinner. We have a lot of god chats with martha--a very friendly woman>

We took a day tour and went to Martha's for lunch. It was quiet, relaxing, and the food was great. We would highly recommend this to our friends and anyone visiting Soufriere.

The best meal we had on our week long holiday around St Lucia. Luckily, we saved the best for last and had lunch here the day we were departing.

Marthas Tables are literaly that, a few tables set-up in front of her quaint home, under a sun canopy surrounded by tropical plants. The lunch menu offered a handful of starters and mains. We shared fishcakes and breadfruit balls to start. YUMMY!!! I had the dish if the day, which on this particular day was fresh mackarel, lightly battered and pan fried and my husband had lamb. Both meals came were accompanied with platefulls of delicious sides. The staple rice and egg noodles and a plethora of local veggies, daichon, plantain, breadfruit, carrot, peas...

We didn't have room for dessert :(

Besides serving up some of the best local eats in Soufrière, the prices were the most reasonable we had encountered on our trip all around the island ($4 starters and $10 mains).

The ladies serving us and working the kitchen were most welcoming and sweet. A true family jewel.

Thank you to Martha first of all and the granddaughter that gave as big smiles as we were eating... we stopped at the martha's after being dissappointed at the 5 star restaurant and menu at the near by resort and believe that was the best decision i ve mabe that afternoon...We tried from chilli pork and fish to chicken and seafood...oh my god... delicious, each and everyone of the sauces was unique and the ingredients fresh and as we took the first bite we saw heaven we looked at each other and looked all arround we saw martha smiling and being sure that she did it once again "she sent people to heaven" with her food....TRUST ME COMING FROM GREECE I KNOW GOOD FOOD AND MOST OF ALL GOOD FISH WITH UNSPOILED TASTE AND MARTHA IS THE ONE PLACE THAT REMAINED UNSPOILED.

THANK YOU AND WILL SEE YOU AGAIN

Definitely and simply the most delicious home cooked meals while on the move in that part of the island. It's the kind of meals and setting that make you feel at home away from home. Ideally nestled away from the hustle and bustle of Soufriere town where you can't help but sit back soak in your surroundings and spoil yourself .
