I think this is located at Anse Chastanet - if true, the snorkeling was wonderful!! You can rent chairs for the day at the dive shop. The restaurant is pricey, but very good.

The SSMA is a multizoned marine preservation area. There are areas to be used for fishing, areas for mooring and areas that are no touch zones. Most of St Lucia's dive sites are in the SSMA and the health of the reefs show that the initiative is working. Snorkeling is also fabulous as many reefs start just below the surface, not far from shore.

Best way to get to Soufriere and the quickest is by water taxi it takes twice as long by road.
Watch out for the street sellers they can be persistent

Stopped at Stonefield estate in the middle of the are and dived the reefs within. Park fee to dive within the are whichis hopefully going towards helping maintain the reefs. The ones we saw were in pretty good condition overall, some algae in shallows and the occasional bleached sponge or coral but generally excellent reefs. Very little anchor damage evident.
