“Short trip on the way to the beach”
Reviewed February 23, 2014

The volcano and hot springs were interesting for my 3 kids. It is a short experience. 30 mins for the volcano and 30 mins for the hot springs. The Volcano is better then the springs. The hot springs is not an attactive place to get covered in mud. it was small and full of merky mud. We visited the hot springs in Costa Rica and you could not compare the two.

“Good fun”
Reviewed February 22, 2014

intriguing place and a must visit. I've visited Rotarua in New Zealand and this place isn't as dramatic. But if you've never seen boiling mud before and steam coming from the ground then you'll love it. Mud bath was a laugh and my skin felt great after. Do it early in your holiday...its like a body scrub..and wear dak swimwear as the mud stains!

“Interesting side trip for a beach vacation”
Reviewed February 20, 2014

My wife and I took a day trip to the springs and it was well worth the time. The only downside was the awkwardness of facing all of the locals trying to sell their jewelry, etc. Some of them did have great personalities, though. Sunshine Biscuit comes to mind. I'll never forget that name.

The mud bath was awesome, but ridiculously hot. It was well worth it as a change of pace from our otherwise sedate beach trip.

We had a great time. I was expecting the volcano to look like the pitons. lol. We also did the botanical gardens which was interesting. Our tour guide was "Alexander the Great". He was hystrical.

“An experience”
Reviewed February 16, 2014

What a wonderful experience. While a bit touristy, it was fun to partake in the mineral baths. The tour to the top of the crater was educational and our guide was friendly and knowledgable.
