“Ziplining...So much fun!”
Reviewed April 12, 2012

This was one of our stops on the Celebrity Summit Cruise! The Ziplining here was our favorite stop of our entire 8 day cruise. The staff were outstanding, helpful, and very funny. This was our first time to Zipline and we felt safe the whole time and it was a blast. I would recommend this to anybody wanting to zipline. Outstanding attraction!!!

“Nice people”

Very short tour. Best part, were the donkeys. We arrived half hour before closing time. The guide was friendly and informative. We didn't do the zip line. That would probably be a plus for the more adventurous.

“Super Lunch and Tour at Morne Coubaril”
Reviewed March 20, 2012

My husband and I were on an "Endless Summer" catamaran day-trip, and the destination for lunch was at Morne Coubaril. It was one of the day's highlights! We docked in Soufriere around noon and were taken by bus up to the lovely Botanical Gardens at Diamond Falls, and then to the Sulphur Springs area.

Not far away is Morne Coubaril, a privately owned plantation and tourist attraction. We had a brief tour with a guide before lunch which included explanations and demonstrations on how the juice is extracted from sugar cane, how cocoa pods are processed into cocoa powder, and how to shuck a coconut. There are several small buildings evoking the era when slaves lived and worked on the plantation - these we found very interesting. Also, the views down to the sea from this estate are breath-taking!

The chicken buffet-style lunch, with a variety of side dishes and 'ground provisions' (the root vegetables common to this island), was set out in a covered open-air building. With cloth-covered tables and cold bottled water on every table - oh! there was a complementary glass of rum punch too! - everything was delicious!

Again, this was part of the package on the "Endless Summer" catamaran day-trip, out of Rodney Bay. We understand that Morne Coubaril also has zip-lines for the more daring tourist. But anyone interested in an historic look at an authentic St. Lucia plantation should visit this place!

“A glimpse into the past”
Reviewed March 20, 2012

A good diversion while in the Soufriere area. Knowledgeable guide walks you through for about 30 minutes, learning about cocoa and coconut production, local history, etc. Not scintillating, but not meant to be, me thinks.
