Description: Mango Tree Restaurant, like the resort itself is tropically elegant. The al fresco dining pavilion looks out over a small river stone pool and takes in the magnificent Petit Piton and views of the Caribbean Sea. Stonefield Estate Resort features 3 exciting menus, rotated each day.Our chef and his culinary team use all fresh local market ingredients to make the freshest, most delicious St Lucian flare. All herbs and vegetables grown on property are organic and the former plantation still yields the seasonal citrus, mango and breadfruit which are incorporated into the daily menus. The Mango Tree Restaurant features a special vegan menu, as well as a children’s menu. And to stir it up true Caribbean style, The Mango Tree presents a rotating dinner theme menu featuring the popular Barbecue Thursdays, a charming Creole evening with a live local shak shak band and the best baby back ribs and jerk bake on the west coast. The Saturday Market Affair serves up the best of what has been freshly procured at the nearby Soufriere market with live entertainment from local musicians. Whether you dine under a full moon with Petit Piton cast in shadow, under the starriest of nights, or witness passing ships alight, The Mango Tree Restaurants brings diners the perfect marriage of location and gourmet Creole. The Mango Tree is open for breakfast from 7.30 am until 11:00 am and is open for lunch and dinner until 10:00 pm. Plantation House, the large signature villa on property features a full kitchen and the option for an in house chef for your stay.

A must visit if in the area. We met Lisa who works at Mango tree and she invited us to try. It was beyond our expectations! The view is gorgeous, try & get there prior to sunset. The service was spectacular & the food was so flavorful & fresh. It was not as modern as other hotel restaurants in the area which was a nice change. They offered Caribbean food with luxury service which is hard to find. We only wish we met Lisa earlier in our trip so we could go back again.

Thank Lisa M

We loved eating breakfast here during our stay and joined them for dinner one evening, as well. The food is fresh, very well done and management is wonderfully friendly. The view from the dining area is fantastic, and you look down onto the sea and out onto one of the volcanically formed Piton mountains.

Dinner can be a little pricey (although it's worth it), but we also found that if you go early and order from the snack/lunch menu, you can get a ton of food for much less. We ordered something like a burrito from the bar menu and were surprised at how huge it was...if you just want something to fill you up to make it an early night, that is a great low price option.

The sunset view from the Mango Tree is flawless and on a clear day you can watch it disappear into the sea with no obstruction to your line of sight. The entire grounds of this resort are lovely, so if you are staying elsewhere arrive a little early so you can enjoy it.

The food wasn't bad at all but the menu is really sparse, not much to choose from. I would really only recommend the restaurant if you are staying nearby and have limited options.

We dined at Mango Tree last Wednesday 5/21/14. We made a reservation, but we ended up being the only diners. This was totally fine with us. Nothing like having amazing views and great food all to your self! It was a clear night and we could see the stars, and Jupiter! Some bats were flying around, but it was kind of cool. They apparently like mangos! Haha.
The Mango Tree overlooks the Caribbean and offers 5 star service. Our waiter was only 20 years old, but incredibly well trained and attentive. We enjoyed talking to him about his personal life and getting to know him.
Since we were the only diners, our food came out quickly and was delicious! I ordered the Caprese Salad for my appetizer and and my fiance had the Sweet Potato Soup. Both we fabulous and fresh. We both chose Oven Baked Mahi Mahi for our entree, which was perfectly cooked. I think we licked our plates clean. Dessert was Coconut Cheesecake which did not disappoint!
All in all, our dinner at Mango Tree was one to remember, Thank you to our server especially - we think you are wonderful!

Perhaps the only time we left a restaurant on our fortnight vacation disappointed. This was largely down to the waitress who placed our table of three at the back of the restaurant with a view of the resort pool. This would have been fine but not only had we booked several weeks in advance but the only other people at the restaurant were a couple who came and went early in our meal, leaving us at the back without a view. I asked if the restaurant was busy that night and the answer of "maybe" said it all, summing up the couldn't care less attitude not usually prevalent on this island. The food was a lot better than the service and somehow arrived hot despite what seemed like a long walk, perhaps that is why she was so grumpy. A guess on another night with another waitress this might have been up with the other restaurants at this end of the island but we did not go back to find out!
