We first ate at The Edge on our last trip to St Lucia, 3 years ago, and had such a memorable evening that we were keen to repeat the experience. There was always a risk that the 2nd visit would fail to live up to the high expectations we took with us but I'm delighted to report that it was just as good this time around.
The waterside setting is perfect. It's worth booking in advance and requesting a table on 'the edge' where you can look out directly across the water, and the strains of the cool jazz playing in the background are accompanied by the lapping of the water below your table ... we did wonder how much cutlery they lost as a dropped fork could be very difficult to retrieve!
The food is exceptional and is truly fine dining at what I believe is michelin-star level. I noted some of the previous reviews with dismay and can only assume that the reviewers arrived with very different expectations - think 'Master Chef' rather than 'Little Chef' and you'll be on the right lines :) This does however come with a price tag to match but for a truly memorable dining experience in such a romantic setting, which will last with us long after the credit card bill has been settled, we felt it was worth it.
I'm not going to describe the food in detail here as The Edge have a Web site you can check out for menus but I am just going to give an honourable mention to the dessert taster plate and, specifically, the banana tarte-tatin - absolutely divine!

Our only experience has been in the evening but I'm guessing this is a fabulous venue for a chilled-out and far more informal lunch .... maybe next time.

You must visit this restaurant for the following reasons -
1. Food - the best we had on the island. The Rabbit starter and tenderloin main are real showstoppers. The wine menu is also good.
2. Location/view - We were lucky and had the best table in the house, right on the waters edge. It is undoubtably romantic and an amazingly relaxing setting.
3. Service - especially Stacie, who made our night very memorable and special. She is one of the best waitresses we've ever met. Ask her for the pork 'as it comes" and you'll see what we mean.
The restaurant has a real family atmosphere and you can tell everyone who works there cares about the food and the experience of every customer.
This restaurant would be amazing anywhere in the world, but it's location on the water's edge is what makes it spectatular, and a must-do for any visit to St Lucia. We travelled up from Marigot Bay to go for dinner and it was well worth the taxi ride.

Had a great dinner here on our last night in St. Lucia. This restaurant is pricey but the food was delicious. Loved the seafood Bisque for appetizer. My husband had a sushi appetizer and that was great, as well. I had tuna and my husband had red snapper for our entrees. Both were delicious. Lastly, we had the chocolate tart. This was very rich and filling! The view was lovely except that someone must have dumped their trash in the bay, so we saw it floating. It was kind of sad! Also, the service was verrrry slow. We didn't mind this because we actually popped in to see if they could fit us in earlier than our reservation time of 8 pm since we were all shopped out. We got there at 7:20 and our taxi was to pick us up at 9:30. We literally got done right at 9:30 and our taxi pulled up as we were leaving the restaurant. Just allow time and be patient. It was worth the slower service. We actually enjoyed the slow pace because we didn't feel rushed and we got to enjoy the amazing food.

Fantastic location on the water’s edge, great for couples or a small group. The beef and fish items on the menu are all fantastic and so is dessert. The best restaurant in Castries! Book now.
