St Jame's Club Morgan bay was an absolutely beautiful resort. The suite we stayed in was clean, and very nice. Huge bathroom, Big spacious balcony with a great view. The food at the resort was amazing. We didn't pay the extra fee to eat at the one restaurant because we found the food to be so incredible at all of the other restaurants that it wasn't needed. Loved the plum tree restaurant for lunch, and the pier and bamboo for dinner. The breakfast buffet was delicious. From Breakfast through dinner we ate more then our share of delicious foods. The ocean was beautiful, and the beach very nice. The pools were great, and the whole resort was well tended to and very clean. What made the trip so incredible was the wonderful staff. Any staff member you passed from the trip from room to breakfast to pool all greeted you with a warm smile. The bartenders and servers were awesome. We had a great time sitting around the bar in the evening chatting with them and other guests at the resort. Vaughn, Kevin, Ignatius, Kenneth, just to name a few were outstanding and happy to make our stay so wonderful. The lady that helped book excursions was very friendly and knowledgable.
I would suggest bringing smaller bills as the resort didn't have a lot of options for cash. It is a big resort with hills, which was completely okay for us, but some might not like the walk to main areas. It is so refreshing to go to a resort where you are treated so well. Hilarie and his staff who drove us from the airport to hotel were all very professional and great tour guides.
Would go back to this resort again, and hope to very soon!

Room Tip: We were in 900 block, big hill to go up and down, so if walking is a problem, would suggest a differ...

Passed through St Lucia on a cruise and always wanted to go back. We picked this resort by reading other reviews found it very satisfactory!! Plan on going back. The staff were exceptional, friendly, personable, always checking if everything was ok or if we needing anything. We stayed in the 200 block , a review had said they found it noisey where we were was not. Food over all was good not a large buffet but a good selection, the alcarte's were very good. The beach is not the kind that runs for miles, as I was told they aren't in St Lucia, but beautiful sand in a sufficient sized cove. With water sports included you had a wide range of things to do. In talking to the staff, the resort is making some new additions which will also improve the facilities. Over all we were very satisfied. The staff were wonderful, that to us meant alot, we made many new friendships there.

I have to say that people on this island are so nice !!!!

The hotel is good, perfect size, really clean, food is good (not sure but I think buffet was better than à la carte).
Drinks are amazing, try BBC, rooms are ok except the beds, mine was facing the ocean, what a view with the sunset.

The beach is small but no complaint, didn’t have problem finding chairs or shade. The water is not clear, but if you don’t mind you’ll be ok.

We took the excursions to the Pitons, this is something you have to do, go around the island. We also went to the big street party at Gros Islet on Friday night, a lot of tourists. Rodney Bay is also a good spot to have a beer or a meal .

If you have car sickness, take some gravol because the roads are like roller coasters.

We just got from Morgan Bay Resort on Feb 28th after spending 8 days there. I would never return. We have a family of 7 so we reserved two suites. The first night we weren't near each other and the building was discusting. I requested adjoining rooms when we made the reservation months prior, but they didn't accommodate us. I requested a room change on the first day and they said that we will have adjoining rooms the next day available to us. That never came to fruition. We were transferred to the building next door, with suites next to each other. The staff acted like we were impositionng them to move. The majority of the staff was not accommodating at all and I found most, to be nasty. We tipped every time we ate and drank and they were still miserable. The staff are the reason we would not be returning. I will say the food was amazing. The buffets were our favorite and everything was deliscious! We did Joys tour which was the highlight of our entire trip. Hilary who transported us to and from the airport was wonderful. The grounds were really beautiful and well maintained. The water aerobics instructors were great too. I found that there was no consistency in the staffing and that was our main issue. They need to train ther staff better so all are accommodating and kind. Some were downright rude and check in was so bad that it set the tone of the week. Our travel agent warned us against this resort and we should have heeded his advice and went to the one that he suggested.

My husband and I have been to a number of all inclusives and would have to rate this one towards the bottom for the following reasons:
- the resort is poorly laid out. Our room was up a major hill which gave us a great view but you wouldn't want to forget anything and have to run back up. Also you had to pass the ugly service area each way. Once down there was no easy access from beach to pool to restaurants.
- the beach area is very small with not enough umbrellas and the chaise lounges don't recline all the way
- the food was pretty mediocre even at the 2 reservation restaurants we went to (the third was an additional charge of $25 per person)
-the entertainment was non existent
On the positive side even some motorized water sports were included at no cost i.e. water skiing and banana boat rides and the water sports team is amazing.
Happy to have had a vacation but wouldn't go back there.

Had a great time at Morgan Bay! Vaughn and Marie at the kids pool were great for lunch service atop the wedding "mountain". A great place to get a salad with grilled fish (need to ask not to overcook) and the pop corn was a nice touch. The regular bartender at Tommy's Poolside Bar (sorry I cannot remember her name) was also great-also a great view of the bay. Hobie cat sailing was great but could have used longer than 30 minutes (I have sailed since I was 5!) Dinner at Le Jardin was great and the lobster was superb-worth the up pricing. Wine list a bit lacking as was the non -rum bar fare. Dining was in general 3.5/4 stars, again wines were "ok". Service at Morgan's Pier was the worst of the lot-great location but would not go back. Stayed in rm 505 and it was very nice but had 2 chairs and no table on patio. Also did run out of shampoo and cleaning lady said you all were in short supply?? Beach towel service is not that great-late opening and early pm run out! This resulted in our using patio chairs to hang wet towels for the next day so we could not sit in them.
All-in-all I feel like they are working hard to improve and I commend their efforts and would recommend to friends. A long way from the airport, but Hilary was great for the transport.

Room Tip: 500s Beach front were great and you could hear the waves "crashing" with your window crack...

Our stay at Morgan Bay met all of our expectations and my family had a very relaxing stay. Food was to a good standard both in the buffet and at the a la carte choices. Omelettes at breakfast were excellent although there was often quite a wait for these.

Some staff were more customer focussed than others but in general were lovely and helpful.

We had an ocean view suite and were very happy with this - spacious with air con and TVs in both rooms and decorated to a high standard.

We enjoyed various activities such as aqua aerobics, beach cricket and kayaking and the kids loved having the run of the children's pool. The fresh popcorn at the Plum Tree Grill there is an excellent idea. The sea is murcky with lots of seaweed in the shallows and if a perfect Caribbean seashore is essential to you, go elsewhere.

We didn't really partake of the evening entertainment but it didn't seem to that high a standard and the bar area is not very inviting at all. Just plastic chairs and tables in a barn-like structure with a tiny bar.

Like most reviewers, we took Joy's tour and had a great day, really getting a sense of the island and loving the speed boat trip straight from the beach.

The weather was on St Lucia was perfect for us, high temperatures but with clouds and the odd shower around to give some relief.

All in all, just what we wanted in the middle of a cold and depressing February!
