Day one
Arrived at 17-00 after 9 hour flight. two trips to our room and it's still not ready. Now 18-45 and still waiting in reception. Tired from travelling all day and in desperate need of a shower, general manager kindly offered to downgrade us, no thanks!
Not coming back and not looking forward to rest of holiday.

Spent two weeks at Morgan Bay Dec.2-16. At first we were put in a garden view room but because we arrived after dark we didn't know if we could see the ocean as we had arranged for a deluxe oceanview room. The next morning we talked at first to a young man and then to a young lady at reception. She double checked our reservation and arranged to have us moved to the 500 block which is ocean front and provides an amazing view.
The staff at this resort is truly the backbone of this hotel. While there were some that may have been having an off day there were more than enough smiling faces to make you feel comfortable and welcome. A special shout out to our lovable housekeeper Veronica, bartender extraordinaire Vaughn and of course, last but not definitely not least, our waitress Marie whom I dubbed "Sweet Marie".
We had a rather large group there for a wedding and the restaurant hostesses always did their best to accomodate us in seating.
If you want to save a bundle from the tour companies excursions I would highly recommend Joy's Cruise. You can arrange a trip with him on the beach by the Morgans Pier restaurant. The taxi accommodations may not be as fancy as the larger tour company but you are in them for such a short period of time it doesn't really matter. The hosts on the modern speed boats are great and this day was a highlight of our vacation.
In closing, great trip, except for Air Canada, great people, wouldn't hesitate to go back. Stay in the tourist zones, heed the warnings, take a local bus and enjoy a beautiful place with beautiful people.

Room Tip: The 500 and 600 blocks put you oceanfront and away from the entertainment area

A really excellent resort, good food, good wine, good service by friendly staff. We went for 2 weeks as it was my birthday and our wedding anniversary had a lovely room overlooking the beach, the pools and gardens. There is always a choice of good food from the many restaurants on site - the Pier is a delightful venue to enjoy an evening meal. All watersports were included too.

We paid extra for breakfast in the gazebo on the beach for my birthday and for our anniversary and had very attentive service from Nadia and the chef, we chose our meal in advance and it didn't disappoint - thoroughly recommend this extra touch if you are celebrating an event.

Any hiccups - like the shower not working - extra hot water for shaving were rectified immediately - nothing is too much trouble for the lovely hospitable people that this hotel employ.

We do wish the new very hands on manager (who started work a few days before we left) every success with this venture and hope that things will not change too much.

Room Tip: Overlooking the sea and pool have the best view and are sunny and bright

Been a few places in the Caribbean, this was a decent four star resort of the "does what it says on the tin" variety. Not flashy, not super-luxury but nice. Decent enough food quality and choice (excellent for the Caribbean), nice staff (much more engaged than I've found elsewhere in the region). Water's not the best as it's cloudy with sand particles so no snorkelling but other watersports are free and there's plenty of newish-looking equipment.

I think they've just bought the resort from Almond and are currently doing it up so I'd expect some more positive changes to come.

Went feeling grim, came back feeling good about things. Job done. Definitely recommend for a battery-recharging break.

Room Tip: Rooms near the main entertainment venue might be noisy - we were in the 400 block which is a bit of a trek to the top of the hill but very quiet.

This was my first visit to St. Lucia and I fell in love with it! The island is safe and welcoming. I pre-booked my transfers and it was all very seamless. The resort is great for both couples and families alike. The rooms are very well equipt and the views are amazing! The food is great and there are plenty of choices. I especially loved Morgans Pier for dinner. The pools are very welcoming and you can't beat a swim up bar! :) The nightly entertainment is great and lots of fun-especially the staff show! The resort is large so it is a lot of walking depending on your room location, but the views are worth it! The staff goes above and beyond to make your stay memorable. Definitely try the newly renovated spa...it's divine!

Room Tip: Get an oceanview room...those views are amazing!
