“Great morning adventure”
Reviewed June 17, 2014

We booked a 2 hour beach ride and had a good time. Our guide Dennis was super friendly and had our three year old ride with him. She felt so safe she fell asleep on the way back to the stable! The horses were a little skinny, but all of the animals on the island are! We enjoyed seeing more of the island, and relaxing on the beach while everyone got a chance to ride in the ocean.

“Amazing Amazing Amazing”
Reviewed March 29, 2014

We were picked up a Trims van and the driver was very friendly.
When we arrived, we did notice that the horses we saw in the field were very skinny and felt a bit apprehensive about getting on such small horses but the guide suited the horses to our weight I guess.
When we first got there, our bags were stowed and were given helmets and were told how to hold the reins and educated us on how to be safe and ride the horses in the correct manner.
After being given our horses for the day and our little induction, we made our way to the beach which roughly took about 20 minutes. Our guide was extremely helpful in answering questions and telling us about the local wildlife etc... When we eventually arrived at the beach I was stunned at how BEAUTIFUL the beach was. Crystal clear sea, white sands and WARM sea! We tyed the horses to the trees so they could graze next to a little bar where you can gt a beer/coke or whatever. There are also a few stall selling local hand crafted bits and pieces as well as jewellery and clothing. The people selling the items were a little pushy but when you tell them no, they kinda listen to you. After a 5 minute stop, the couple that we went on the excursion with went in the sea with their horses first (bareback) and is an ideal opportunity for pictures. It was truly a magical experience taking the horses in the sea!! I can't rate it enough.
On the way back to the stables, the temperature had dropped quite a bit and the horses had a bit more' go' in them. The ride back was better than the ride to the beach. We had a lot of fun galloping along the shore. Don't let any other posts put you off. The guide trains the horses and truly loves his job and the horses. Amazing and magical, highly recommended for couples and awesome photo opps :)

“Horses were thin, but willing and agreeable; not romantic, but gives you a different perspective of life on the island”
Reviewed March 3, 2014

I was surprised at how thin Mr. Trim's horses were. However, they were willing to be ridden and upon our return, were immediately cleaned off and turned out into a pack pasture. These horses work for a living, so are not typical over-fed American pets. Our guide said the horses are only ridden 2x per week during the dry season. The tack was certainly not what I am used to, but being an undeveloped country, can't complain too much. The horses did not have any sores, and the stable was fairly clean (it is a barn, and while this place is old, it was at least tidy). As other reviews stated, while there was no pressure to buy anything, the locals on the beach were somewhat harassing to buy things. I was with other experienced riders, and we did trotting and cantering along the beach. There were other riding groups out there, as well as people doing some sort of kite/ski thing. Don't expect a romantic or scenic trail ride. It was interesting to see the inner streets, and a regular way of life there. Our guide was good and answered a lot of questions we had about the island. Not for everyone - go there with tempered expectations.

“Great ride in the Atlantic Ocean!”
Reviewed February 13, 2014

We had a fabulous ride with our guide, Coco. Took the two hour ride down to the ocean, beautiful views, and an all around great experience. We were the only two on the tour, and Coco could not have been nicer! Loved!
