If there is a doubt about stopping by this little spot for a meal, it would have been for a short moment only!!! The chef/owner is such an amazing personality as he welcomes everyone in and spends enough time warming your hearts before the warm platters arrive to the table to do the rest. The food is exceptional and the "prix fixe" lunch menu changes daily, so there is always a pleasant surprise awaiting. The ambience is clean and friendly and the staff are all engaging and warm. Chef puts the personal touch and is accessible and with a variety of local fresh juices, there is never a feeling of being far away from the Caribbean albeit the Spicy Indian reminder!!!

Dear Nikkij,

what an amazing feedback. Thanks for taking your time to write comments about food and service at SOI. You are right about our daily changing Ches Tasting Lunch menus. It gives us an opportunity to prepare not so common Indian foods from different regions in India. Indian cuisine is huge and extremely diverse and cannot be portrayed in a small menu one restaurant can have. That's why we prepare these Lunch menus daily to showcase the cuisine. Thanks for the feedback and looking forward to seeing you again.

Best regards,
Chef Adil.

We recently took a trip to St. Lucia and read all of the positive reviews of this restaurant. We decided to take our chances and we were not disappointed. The service was great and the staff (including the owner) were very welcoming and friendly. The lamb was DELICIOUS!! And you cant go wrong with fried chocolate cake! :)

Dear Apeat,

Many thanks for such a wonderful review and considering us as the best meal of your vacation in St Lucia. You are right about the deep fried chocolate cake. It has become the most sought after dessert on our menu. I have to admit that it is not anything to Indian cuisine, but I figured that fried, Chocolatey and warm are perfect combinations for anything yum. So why not.

Thanks for posting a great review.

Warm regards,
Chef Adil.

We dined at this restaurant on one night of our holiday to St Lucia and it was one of the most pleasant meal experiences of our trip. From the moment you enter Spice Of India, its almost like being welcomed to a very hospitable person's home. The owner and chef visited our table to assist us with food and wine choices. The chef spoke to us about our preferences and about our usual selections when we eat Indian food and made some really good recommendations. The poppadums and accompaniments were delicious as were our prawn starters. My channa masala was really nice and my husband also enjoyed his lamb dish. We were far too full for dessert but liked the atmosphere here so much that we stayed for coffee and more beers. Unlike many other places we visited during our holiday, the service here is really attentive, pleasant and welcoming. It was the best meal we had in Rodney Bay and a must try if you find yourself here.

My GF and I had dinner at Spice of India in late April, 2014 during our recent visit to Rodney Bay, St. Lucia. The food was wonderful in flavors and reasonably priced. Both the chef and the owner came over to our table and introduced themselves. Combined with a nice bottle of Cotes du Rhone wine, it was a very enjoyable meal.

I highly recommend Spice of India when in the Rodney Bay area of St. Lucia. It is a gem.
