Our stay at Calabash Cove left nothing to be desired. We loved every second of it and are already planning our return trip!

The Resort
This resort is small, quiet, intimate and chic. Whether you are in a junior balcony, swim-up or cottage you will not be disappointed. The grounds are beautiful - lush, green, colourful and well-kept. Regardless of if the resort is at capacity or not, you will feel as though you have the resort to yourself... a wonderful touch if you loath the big-box feel of larger resorts.

Service and Staff
This resort had the best service of any we have ever received. Hands down. Ice for your room? Room service in the pouring rain? An extra cushion for your chair at dinner? Hot sauce for your meal? Currency change? Nothing was too much to ask for. The staff are A-1, professional and fun to be around: Shanelle (I love you, girl!), Sonny, Ezra, Kris, Diana, Karen, Maggie, Lance, Little Rock, Kevin, Rohan, Dexter and so many other staff members made our stay feel personal and special. You aren't just a number here.

The Room
We stayed in one of the swim-ups. It was everything we imagined it to be. The Sweetwater infinity pool was literally at our feet and we swam day and night. The room was very small, but well-appointed. It also had a great little hot-tub. Our mini-bar was refilled everyday like clock-work. Hint: You will never be able to drink all the liquor they give you on the all-inclusive package... The house always wins.

The Food
I'll try to keep this short: Each meal at the Windsong Restaurant was a privilege and an exciting gourmet experience. Delicious breakfasts, chic, creative lunches and gorgeous dinners (complete with amuse bouche) - all presented in an efficient and professional manner. If you are unsure of whether or not to go all-inclusive... do it for the food alone. Also, take advantage of the room service menu. It can be a real treat to eat on your balcony, swim-up or in your cottage. There is also a snack bar at the pool with limited lunch hours for those who want a more casual experience.

The Beach
The resort is on a cove, so the beach is a short, picturesque strip. No long walks along the beach here, just beautiful endless views of the island and ocean.

"Things to Do"
Besides using the gym, getting a massage/manicure or using the kayaks and paddle-boards, there is not much to "do" at the resort. However, there are excursions in and around if you're interested. Just ask at the front desk. Please note: You will NOT feel guilty if you don't do the excursions. The call to "simply relax" can be overwhelming!

Hints and tips:
- Don't let the bumpy road leading to the resort scare you! It's worth it.
- Go all-inclusive! The food at Windsong stands alone. When it comes to the drinks, pace yourself.
- Learn to wield the mosquito zapper in your room! Once you do, it's priceless (and addictive).
- Get to know the staff, they're simply the best.

There is so much more that I could write. We had such a wonderful time and met many new friends from the UK and U.S. This place attracts like-minded, top-shelf folk and we are looking forward to returning to Calabash Cove for a second time. To Dexter and all of the staff: Thank you for everything! Happy 10th Anniversary, Calabash Cove

Room tip: Swim-up rooms are in the mix of things but still manage to be private. Swim-up room #104 is the closest room to the swim-up bar.

Let me start by saying that this has been our most favorite vacation to date. Calabash Cove was amazing! The staff, cottage, views and food were fantastic! We have been to St. Lucia two other times previous to this so we knew what to expect. However, when we go back, we will only stay at Calabash Cove. It will be hard for any resort to beat what Calabash has to offer.

The helicopter transfer is well worth the money. It’s a quick way to get from one end of the island to the other. And if you suffer from car sickness, it’s the only way to go. Once arriving at Calabash, we were greeted with smiles and rum punch. After a quick check in, we were shown to cottage 6. It was a beautiful accommodation. We had easy access to the beach but were a short walk to the main building. It’s such a small resort everything is close. Our room was spacious and quiet. Our bar was stocked daily and we enjoyed the privacy of our own deck, pool and hammock.

The food was AMAZING! Not only from a resort standard but in comparison to our favorite restaurants at home, not much can beat the food. We enjoyed the restaurant, pool bar and room service. We enjoyed having a special menu everyday along with the daily menu. It was so hard to narrow down what we wanted because everything was so good! You can tell a lot of care went into each dish.

The staff was top notch. They were all so friendly and playful. We got to know them individually and personally. I loved that they talked about their lives and would even show us pictures of their kids. Shout out to Shanelle, Kris, Treyvan, Dinah, Sonny and Marlin to name a few. They made our stay very special!

We also had a spa treatment while we were there. The spa was pretty simple but the staff was awesome. We experienced the chocolate escape couples package. The therapists did a great job.

St. Lucia has been a favorite vacation spot of our for years but this vacation exceeded our expectations. If you’re looking for a very relaxing, intimate resort then this is your place! We can’t wait to go back!

Room tip: Splurge on the cottages!
