“Lovely local food”
Reviewed January 8, 2014

Delicious fresh local fare and friendly service from the owner makes this a fun place to visit. Plantain and accra were very tasty, and fish very good.

“"Eat With the Locals...Mon!"”
Reviewed December 15, 2013

We asked.. "Where do we find fresh lobster?" We were told "Laurel's" and the answer was right. We stopped by to make a reservation, order up the fare and set a date for "tomorrow night." We were not disappointed. Prompt service, simple yet clean surroundings, lovely hostess / owner and a local vibe that one can't create, it just happens.
If you are snooty "must have downtown flair" sort of people, don't bother. However, if a clean house-kitty rubbing against your shin during cocktails doesn't weird you out, then come eat with the Locals mon!

“Local eats”
Reviewed October 22, 2013

We came here as I'd read a positive magazine review. The location is on the way to Windjammer's off the main road between Rodney Bay and Castries. Going south it is a right hand turn, just before the "Sunroof" restaurant. Then it is just to the left hand side as you drive up the hill.

We all tried different foods. My mom had the chicken curry, it was very good. I had the lobster which was tasty (without claws but lots of meat and good fresh herbs + butter with garlic and parsly for dipping), two others had the shrimp, garlic and creole. The shrimp were kind of small, not many shrimp and overcooked. The breadfruit balls and fried plantains were great. I would recommend getting the other foods over the shrimp. My four year old had spaghetti bolognese and they brought the food out early for him. Overall a great dinner. (We paid less than 100$ plus drinks for the 5 of us with tip)

Laurel is great, very friendly.
