“Worth the visit although you wouldnt think so from the outside”
Reviewed March 16, 2012

This restaurant has some work to on the atmosphere however it is well worth the visit as the food is amazing. The local cuisine is incredible and the fried breadfruit is to die for! This place is a bit off the beaten path but worth a taxi trip!

“Great local fare ...”
Reviewed February 7, 2012

This little local treasure is located just down the road from the Windjammer Landing resort. There were 4 of us in our party & just happened to be the only patrons that evening, which provided us with the opportunity to have a bit of a visit with the owner, Laurel, who has a great sense of humour. She shared some interesting anecdotes along with the great food. We tried the pumpkin soup, the lobster (a hearty amt. to consume), the catch of the day, and the coconut cake ... all delicious!

“Avoid! Overpriced, slow service, and mediocre food”
Reviewed December 31, 2011

Was expecting great things from Laurel's when we went for a family dinner (party of 6) from WindJammer Landing. Was greatly disappointed. The service was slow - ultra slow - and uncaring. Wouldn't mind if it was busy, but we were the only customers! The food was mediocre - what there was available that is, most menu items were off. And the price was extortionate. Plus there was no atmosphere at all, save for the waitress cleaning her nails and waiting for us to leave.
Will never ever go there again, and will recommend to anyone we meet to avoid this restaurant.

The food and service were amazing at Laurel's - we'll definitely be back. The cajun snapper was to die for :)

“Not as good as before”
Reviewed November 1, 2011

We booked a table and had expected lobster (which is usually available when you ask for it in advance as we had) but when we arrived it appeared that our booking had not been recorded and we ended up the only people there with no lobster available. The main courses were not as plentiful or tasty as we have previously experienced so quite disappointing. The lobster is still cheap at $80 Ec but the shrimps at $65Ec for the quantity is not good value.
