It took staff at spinnakers 2 hours to serve our table of 3. We had just arrived to St lucia and visited the restaurant out of recommendation, the staff were slow, unhelpful and uninterested. The food arrived, wrong and not what we had ordered. To be fair they were willin to change it but after the 2 hour wait, we were starving and coulnt bear another lengthy wait. We just went along with what arrived.
The bill was pricey for that kid of service really. It's a shame becaus the location is perfect right on the beach. much more work needs to be done to this restaurant unfortunately.

We found it by accident on our second day in Rodney Bay on Reduit Beach which is not in Castries as previously stated. We loved the restaurant as it reminded us of the beach shacks on the Goan beaches with excellent well prepared food. During the three weeks we were there we loved it so much that we really did not eat much anywhere else. The menu was good, especially the steaks (put on six pounds) and a selection of fish and caribbean dishes with a snack menu at lunch time. Piton beer seems to be the favourite daytime tipple with a good selection of wines for the evening. Happy hour is between 5-6 pm where you get double orders for the single price, try the rum punch! We were there at the staggered finish of the ARC yacht race from the Canaries and a large number of the crews chose this restaurant for their evenings entertainment leading to a lively atmosphere with loads going on. I can really recommend this establishment as one of the best in Rodney Bay.

Beachfront dining at its most average, I suppose if anything it is a little too big with too few staff to function efficiently .A rickety table shot cocktails out of the glass like a tsunami and was not fixed despite our request so we had to sacrifice first one and then share the remaining napkin to remedy the problem, a wine list that arrived after we had eaten the first course and when the wine finally got there arrived it was un-chilled. The owner seemed to double as an estate agent and more interested in the latter he was dismissive to say the least when searched for the absent wine.
We must have really cheesed someone off as the second bottle was taken away before we finished it. Main courses of steak and prawns were nothing to write home about and a dessert of hot fudge cake with spray foam cream and luminescent pink ice-cream was straight out of the school dinner lady’s cook book (and should have gone straight into the bin). No Malt Whisky so settled for a JW Black. There is a big difference between casual and sloppy.

This is a fab place for breakfast and dinner. We enjoyed all our visits to Spinnakers - try the fruit plate for breakfast its yummy. We had dinner there twice during our 10 day stay and enjoyed the whole experience. The staff are so friendly and kept checking if everything was ok.
