The location is just gorgeous, sitting there right next to the beach really makes you feel like you're in the Caribbean dream. We had lunch there and the food wasn't bad, but it wasn't really good either.

My husband, myself and another couple stayed at Bay Gardens Beach Resort right next door. Had breakfast and dinner there. Very good service, food was average. Fresh and nicely presented, good for a quick meal.

Right over the road behind the Police station and fronting right onto the beach. This is an enviably placed bar and restaurant positioned perfectly for you to watch the sunset over the Caribbean in low season or to see the sillouettes of people watching the sunset in high season. The building is a low, faux thatched roof affair with a high stooled bar in the focus of the room. The menus are limited to about half a dozen entries per course and they are done very tastily. The costs are (unusually for a tourist oriented establishment ) in Eastern Carribean and not US Dollars. The shrimp pil-pil comes with a "not for the faint hearted" and "spicy" warning. It is pleasantly pitched at about the level of a Bradford Madras. The Dorado steak was fresh and nicely timed to be juicy and just cooked by the hot plate en route. Back ribs of pork are served with a sauce which is more a spicy Creole than the usual sweetly overfacing ketchup and soy based gloop of the USA. It was delicious. Ribeye steaks were tender and cooked with understanding. The waitress, amusingly, only offered British diners "medium or well"!!! Ye Gods! We are being nationally stereotyped...... In his defence the chef seemed to have a grasp of rare and wonder how "blue" might be treated.
Verb Sap... have the spicy potato wedges not chips wth the steak. Though only lightly spiced for tourists they are very good indeed. Sweets are lovely and local. The ice creams are great and the banana flambe is outstanding.
Happy hour two for one is 5-6pm so get there at 5 and hit the mojitos. Great spot with the most miserable, unsmiling, staff on the Island. They have seen too many horrible tousists and now loathe them with an obvious passion. They need to be replaced with less cynical alternatives. A smile costs a person nothing. A frown costs a business dear. Be prepared for £30-40. Per head for two courses, coffee and about 3 drinks apiece.

The food was good, drinks were great, location was beautiful, and the staff were very friendly. Our waitress gave us some island information on where to go and what to see in St. Lucia.
