Owner description: Snuba is the ultimate happy-medium for those wanting to go beyond snorkeling without the training and concerns associated with a deep dive. Under the supervision of certified Snuba guides, divers can explore exotic marine life uninterrupted; there is no need to surface for air or tussle with bulky equipment. After a pre-dive orientation, tour begins from a gently sloping beach and descends to a maximum depth of 20 feet. Divers choose your depth of comfort.

“SNUBA...the just right between snorkeling and SCUBA diving”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 24, 2013

SNUBA is the perfect water excursion if you aren't SCUBA certified but you want a bit more than just snorkeling. After a brief explanation of how to use the equipment - really everything is the same as diving with the exception that there is no BC, we entered the water from the beach. The air tanks float above you on a raft and can accommodate up to 4 people at a time. Our guide, "Blue Marlin" was delightful...patient, funny and calming for the one person in our group who was quite nervous having never even been in the ocean until the day before. The air supply hose allows a descent of no more than 20 feet - just enough that it requires the ability to clear your ears but no having to stop on ascent. and it's amazing...the difference in what you see is remarkable. We snorkeled in Pidgeon Bay for about half an hour then completed the excursion with a short hike up to the top of Fort Rodney that has an amazing 360 degree overlook. This is one excursion everyone should try while in St Lucia - the visibility is amazing and gives you an entirely new perspective of the island. One of the best things we did!

“Second time Snuba, best experience!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 19, 2013

My husband and I did this excursion off the Carnival Valor and we're so glad we did! We had been once before in St. Thomas, but we both enjoyed this one more.
Judge Judy and Blue Marlin were our guides and Judy was specifically with us. They were very informative both in and out of the water, if that makes sense. Judy led us down to the bottom, pointed out seahorses, eels, and lots of other underwater life. She took our camera several times to get up close pictures of the sights and took pictures of us, too. We wished we could have stayed underwater longer. Highly recommend this group!

Excellent fun, well organised and felt safe during the experience. Coco Puff (not her real name im sure) was an excellent tour guide who showed us the colourful underwater world of St Lucia.

Couldnt ask for more.

“amazing experience with very knowledgeable instructors”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 2, 2013

This was my favourite excursion when we were in St Lucia. The instructors gave clear guidance and checked our understanding regularly and went out of their way to put our family at ease. Our guide was Judy who was fabulous with our 10 yr old and 8 yr old and a nervous mummy .
We saw lots and lots of different fish including lobster, sea horse, puffer fish, sea urchins and trumpet fish. The coral was sadly dessimated but we did spot some brain coral and various anenmone. We had plently of time in the water after the instructions and really got into the whole experience
