The food was good, the pool was always spotless. The staff was friendly and very attentive. All you have to do is ask and you shall receive. The only complaint; is they need to put toothpicks in all of the restaurants. only 2 of the restaurants have them.

Room tip: more places to hang towels and wet swimsuits in the room.

This review is 6 months late. My husband visted both Sandals La Toc and Sandals St. Lucian Grand for the first time. OMG...we both fell in love with the properties, staff and the island. St. Lucia is simply gorgeous. Everything is green and the air is fresh. It hasn't been taken over by modernization. The first part of our honeymoon was spent at La Toc. My husband surprised me with the Butler suite. Our Butlers were Laban and Marcus. They were fabulous. Everything we needed, they were more than accommodating. Super-friendly and took customer service to the next level. The room was beautiful and spacious. The butler suite we had was two levels. Living room downstairs and bed/bath upstairs. Fully stocked bar. They had a the Tequila we requested with our reservations. There is a restaurant for everyone's taste. Our favorite was the Sushi spot but all the food was good. The property was well kept. I have only two negatives. The first isn't really a negative for me but if you don't like cats, La Toc has a ton of them. They were just chilling in the open breakfast cafe. They were very friendly but there are a lot of them. Now the big negative for me was the open breakfast cafe area. Because the area is open, there were birds everywhere. As soon as someone left there table, a group of birds would flock to eat leftovers. That was just too much for me. We ate breakfast in the Italian restaurant or ordered room service the remainder of our stay.

We will be back and want Marcus and Laban back!

This was our first Sandal's experience, and we are so impressed that upon departure we booked our next one! The staff was the best ever experienced (this from a couple that each travels over 25 times per year for work). Always friendly, always helpful, and according to others the best of any of the Sandal's resorts. The setting was intimate, which allowed for short to no wait times, enough seating at pools and restaurants, and peace and quiet for a relaxing atmosphere. The property and amenities were all in great shape, even though this is the oldest of the 3 St. Lucia resorts. The restaurant managers were all good, but Wayan at Soy was incredible! He bonded with every guest and all seemed to hold him in high regard as well. During our stay, the water was too choppy, so there were limited to no water activities available. For those of you (like me) who like to swim, sail, and surf, I suggest either booking the Grand or preparing to be shuttled back and forth (shuttles don't leave for the Grand until noon!). The biggest drawback during our stay was the water temperature of the pools. While all are nice, with swim-up bars, none of the guest wanted to "venture" into the frigid water to swim or order drinks at the bar. All the guests we spoke to complained about this, even though the resort used solar water heating throughout! All in all, we had the experience of a lifetime and are now Sandal's biggest fans! We can't wait to return to this and other properties!

Room tip: Make sure the room you select has everything you like. Unfortunately, we did not get a balcony nor a walk-in shower.

Everything was perfect from the moment we arrived to departure. The Staff were outstanding. Nothing was to difficult. Always had a smile on their faces. The resort itself was immaculate. The restaurants were excellent. The pool and beach areas were wonderful.

Room tip: We were in room 307 facing the sea. The room itself was exceptionally clean with everything one required.
