This was one of the highlights of our holiday in St Lucia. The house is beautiful and we loved the art and ceramics on display. The views over Castries and the sea were stunning and the garden was beautiful. The staff were friendly and efficient; nothing was too much trouble. Finally the food itself was lovely. If you eat at one restaurant in St Lucia make it this one, it's well worth the trip.

This place is a living museum of what island life used to be like. It encapsulates the French Creole heritage in old world architecture still seen in New Orleans, which sadly has not been properly preserved throughout the island. Lovingly restored, this doubles up as a cool rustic restaurant celebrating local cuisine.
It is unpretentious, authentic and yet not so cliche as you may think. The food is good ole fashioned home creole cooking. The service is genuine but 'rustic' the young lads are great, but a work in progress in attention to detail.
Lunch was 'floats' in stead of bread ( a local, lightly fried flour-based item)
Accra (creole fish cakes) or Tamarind Grilled Shrimp kebab for starters
Coconut curry chicken or Lemon and Garlic butter grilled Dorado for main course, served with lentils, steamed local vegetables, breadfruit croquets, friend plantain, and an interesting twist on cauliflower cheese (cabbage was substituted) which to me was the secret weapon!
Plenty local juices on offer, complimented by the most stunning gardens looking out onto the city, the port and north up the coast line all the way to Martinique. STUNNING!
All this happens on the expansive covered veranda full of the latice works of the architectural era.
A MUST VISIT!

Wonderful location and view of the castries harbour. Great for business lunches or entertaining friends. Beautiful old home which makes you want to sit on the veranda, sipping tea watcing the cruise ships come in. Food was a hit or miss but for local food, the sides in particular was much better than other places i'd been to on the island. I would definietly recommend trying the breadfruit and smoked herring starter. The mains was unsatisfying and it would be nice if more attention was paid to the overall upkeep and aesthetic of the place. Table cloth had food stains from previous diners, no wine menu, cobweb in various corners, cracked platers and such. if you're not fussy then it's worth a try.

App an impossibly windy road from Castries, with a breath-taking view, the Pink Plantation House is a wonderful spot for lunch. We shared the ackee fritters, the we each had the dorado, one with creole sauce and the other with garlic butter. The side dishes were very nice, especially the christophene gratinee. We skipped dessert...too full from all the different elements of the main course. Service was efficient, but I did not find the experience as warm as others have described. More cut and dried... And the bill came quickly.. We stopped to look around, and went to look at the pottery but on the day we were there there was little for sale. The woman at the desk suggested that I would have a better chance looking in the shops in Rodney Bay...while I did not come away with the warm and fuzzy feelings that other reviewers described, I will definitely go again the next time I am I. St. Lucia and I highly recommend the Pink Plantation House to anyone visiting the island.
