The Rendezvous is a couples only resort which promotes the romantic get away from it all concept. We went for a week to get away from everything here in the UK.

We were upgraded from the Garden rooms to the Ocean view rooms which were fine, typically decorated in Caribbean style. I must mention here though there is no TV in the room. If you are like us and like to watch TV while getting ready or before you go out, then this will be missed. There is no TV lounge so you do feel that you miss out on the news and what is happening in the world.

The food is good, the buffet caters for all tastes and if you don't like anything on there then the kitchen will make you something or bring it from the Trysting restaurant, Their aim is to please. Breakfast is a buffet with your eggs and bacon etc ordered freshly through your waitress. I was not that impressed by the Trysting - it must have been a bad night as the menu we were offered differed from the one advertised and then when they realised that the menu was wrong it took them 15 mins to give us the correct menu that was advertised. Note; if you forget to book they always keep a few tables free for "walk ins"

The beach is OK but the water is not very clear and there can be a strong current. There were plenty of watersports there but was too busy working on my tan to bother.

You are next to the local airport and there are a few small planes that take off but you really do not notice them at all.

The weather, when it rains there is limited activities, there are board games there but with bits missing ... and the staff will lay on activities but they were bingo and bounce the ping pong ball into the champagne bucket... they do need to consider other things for people to do when it's raining.

The staff are where the Rendezvous exceeds.... the waitresses are wonderful Candice is a sweetie at breakfast and lunch. The activity staff are funny and entertaining, Markel and Deano are a great double act. The whole entertainment team lay on shows and their tribute to the lion king is great along with their tribute shows. The local bands are fantastic and they encourage young bands to perform and they are so good with wonderful music that is varied and not the usual songs that are played.

I enjoyed my stay there and would say of you want a get away with no distractions then this is perfect.

Stayed here on recommendation from a couple of friends who had actually attended weddings at the hotel!

The hotel is lovely, the staff extremely friendly and can't do enough to assist you. The facilities available and very good, and the daily activities that are put on are a good laugh - ranging from drinking games to archery (with bottles of Rum as the prizes!). If that's not for you, you can spend time around one of the two outdoor pools, or make use of the watersports facilities.

Taxi ride from the main airport took us about an hour and a half, so once at the hotel we decided to cancel our car transfer for when we left, and booked in on the helicopter transfer instead, which departs about 5 minutes away from the hotel - 15 minutes to the airport and you get to see the island from the air! Well worth it!

You get incredible sunsets in the evening which change the colour of the entire area that you can see - simply stunning!

We had 2 weeks at the Renezvous in october,we also stayed there 2 years ago.We would recommend this to everyone, this is the best holiday ressort we have ever stayed at and we have been holidaying twice a year for twenty years.
The staff are outstanding, nothing is too much trouble.
The room was spotless and cleaned early every day,It had great decor, lovely furniture and the bathroom was large and very light.(we stayed in a beach front room but would not have been disappointed with a standard room having seen one although they are a little smaller.
The 2 restaurants are perfect, one outside beside the beach and a airconditioned restaurant which you can book. The service in both is outstanding.
The entertainment was great and included shows where all the participents were staff members, the staff shows were my favourates and the hard work and effort put in to these shows is very admirable.
The activities staff and the watersports staff were the most professional I have seen at any ressort around the Carribean with safety being the priorty. They take time to teach beginners and are excellent instructors.
The equipment (speed boat,water skis,wake board,hobby cats,diving)are top quality.
If you just want to chill out you can be left alone to just sunbath and enjoy the great surroundings.
The extensive gardens are immaculate.
The bar areas have extremely clean and comfy seating.
The beach is not only clean but raked every day.
The pool and pool bar are perfect
At the managers cocktail party every wednesday evening all the managers are warm and sincere and spend time to talk to you.
We will be returning within the next 6 months,John & Mandy

Spent a day at Rendezvous a month ago while on holiday at Le Sport. We had friends with us and wanted to introduce them to a less ‘stuffy’ resort and this really fitted the bill. We have previously spent 2 two week holidays at this resort in 2001 and 2002.

Although Rendezvous doesn’t have a ‘grand’ entrance or reception area, the welcome was very warm. The resort was only half full so a bit quiet when we were there.

We had an extremely nice lunch and met a few staff members whom have been there for years. The beach/pool bar guy was new to us but very welcoming.

The dive staff were awesome and looked after us really well, we all had a lovely dive with them.

The air conditioned Trysting Restaurant was just as nice as we’d remembered. The food, service and staff were totally top notch with no added supplements to pay even though I ate seafood and steak! (Le Sport charges extra for these!)

If circumstances had permitted, we would have moved to Rendezvous for our 2nd week but as our friends were leaving in 3 days, it wouldn’t have been worth our while. We would have been happy to give our inclusive spa treatments a miss in favour of included boat dives (apart from Marine Park) to stay at this very friendly resort.

We were frankly amazed to find that the Scuba Shop is still in the same state as it was in 2001! It was promised a refurb a very long time ago! A crying shame!

The weather was particulary 'iffy' the day of our visit so went for a walk. We had never found the nearby cemetery to be a problem so took the time to visit it properly and found it a very profound experience.

We feel very blessed to have travelled extensively and although have stayed at better resorts on other islands, I would still go back to this resort as it has a very special warm vibes with exceptional staff and would always recommend this to my friends.

We selected our stay in Rendezvous, St Lucia from a range of Caribbean hotels featured as part of a "buy one, get one free" offer in a national UK newspaper. We had always wanted to travel to StLucia and this was the ideal opportunity to do it on a budget.

Was a little concerned we would get no sleep from previous reviews stating the hotels close proximity to George FL airport.

However, the airport mainly caters for inter-island propeller flights, there is the odd Lear jet taking off and landing, but the noise only lasts a few seconds and we didnt find it intrusive at all,..in fact, watching the planes only added to the feeling of "being on holiday!".

We arrived at Rendezvous (after an arduous journey by coach from the airport) to be greeted with cold towels and a complimentary Rum punch.

Moving swiftly on to to the room! Ours was a "standard" garden-view room. I found the size of the room to be more than adequate, with extremely comfortable kingsize beds and full bath and shower facilities. We mentioned on booking we were celebrating our wedding anniversary, and were greeted with a bottle of champagne on ice, fruit , and a bed beautifully decorated with exotic flowers. They even put a flower arrangement in our bathroom!

The hotel is ideally located .. far away enough from the hurly and burly of Castries to be peaceful , yet a short journey by taxi or bus into the Town. "Pointe Seraphim" is well worth a visit for duty-free shopping.

Staff at Rendezvous made our stay unforgettable, always on hand and willing to please, everyone from bar/waiting staff to the animation team. Won't mention names.. too many to mention, but all did an excellent job!

If you go here for food and drinks on the all-inclusive package you will not be disappointed! Buffet restaurant caters for even the fussiest eaters, of which I am one! Theme nights cover French to Mexican to Italian to Caribbean to BBQ..however no chips, which was good in a way as it saved my waistline a little! Food was always fresh and ample.

But the jewel in the crown was the Trysting restaurant , the a la carte, you have to book in advance, food is excellent and you even get your own personal wine-waiter!

The all inclusive drinks are top notch: all international branded spirits, wines and even champagne! It was lovely to enjoy my favourite tipple of Malibu & Baileys in the Piano Bar at the end of a perfect evening!

Please note this hotel is not 5-star ,or does it pretend to be. It does not have minimalist, cutting-edge design and nouvelle cuisine . The public areas in particular could benefit from some refurbishment. But in no way does this detract from the ambience and equalled-to-none friendliness of everyone in the lace, both staff and fellow guests. Made plenty of friends, and a few tears were shed on departure!

Splashed out on a helicopter transfer back to the airport, not cheap, but the perfect end to a perfect holiday,...dipping low between the 'Pitons' was awesome!

Saving up to return next year, and hope to 'rendezvous' again!!

We stayed for 2 weeks in early October and had a great holiday. Our aim was to relax and enjoy the Carribean. The hotel, food and range of drinks on offer was excellent, the service was brilliant. Nothing was too much trouble for any of the staff. Absolutely spot on. The weather however wasn't brilliant (it was hot and wet!) but there was always something to do if you wanted to. No pressure though. 4pm was when the volleyball started and most evenings there was a large group throwing themselves around in the sand. Plenty of the hotels entertainment staff playing too. Great fun. I've read some comments about litter on the beach, low flying aircraft etc etc but you should not let this stop you from booking, any negatives (and there can be negatives in most places if you choose to look) are far outweighed by the positives.
Abiding memories, Trystings Restaurant (great food), Beach Volleyball and the friendliness of the staff.

This hotel is PERFECT. Contrary to what people say there is only a little mess on the beach and every morning there are people clearing up and raking the sand from about 05.30. All the staff are extremely friendly and nothing is too much trouble. The breakfast was excellent serving practically anything you could want (all you had to do was ask). My wife is very fussy with food and she never had any problems finding something to eat, she especially liked the Italian night as she loves pasta. The daytime entertainment is good and if you don't want to participate you don't need to, say no thanks and they are gone and won't hassle any more. The evening entertainment is always good and there are some very good entertainers. We stayed in the Seaside Suites and although we did get bitten to death by Mosquito's this still couldn't of spoiled our holiday. Already waiting for the prices to come out for April 2010 and will be going back again. On one occasion we got the bus to Point Seraphine, this was an experience and one i would happily do again as the people are so friebdly and they will explain which bus to get and from where. Also he taxis are very reasonably priced as we had so many bags to carry it was easier to get the taxi from outside the mall. All in all this was a perfect holiday and not only will go back we are going back.
