We went to the local market just to see and stayed less than 10 mins, it was like being attacked by a hoard of desperate sellers all trying to sell you their wares, nothing priced up and high prices quoted on everything and haggling expected, even as a hardened haggler i found it daunting!

Not the cleanest, but this is the place to barter, especially when the cruise ships aren't docked. Although, they start closing up shops as soon as the cruise ships leave. There are so many fun souvenirs to buy and after we were through, we stumbled across a local bar by the pier that had karaoke! It was priceless to see the locals singing karaoke to Merle Haggard!! Loved it!

You can go to the market and haggle prices for your souvenirs! Make sure you have lunch from the booths.

Great place to really see the local culture.

This market is the essential stop for souvenirs when you are in St. Lucia. It is a little crowded and they try to get you to buy EVERYTHING, but just resist and say "No Thanks" if you don't want to buy. Also, HAGGLE with people. They will be resistant at first, but make them a fair offer and be firm - they will eventually give in!
