I had a wonderful time at the Windjammer Landing Resort to celebrate my birthday. We originally had reservations at another resort, but they didn't have their Covid-19 measures ready in time for our arrival, so the day before we arrived they relocated us to the Windjammer Landings Resort. Honestly, I'm thankful for the relocation cause the Windjammer is beautiful. Upon arrival I was amazed by the hilltop views. It was absolutely stunning.

Our ambassador, Esie was amazing! She felt like one of my friends from back home. That's my girl! If she see's this review, tell her I said Hey! (I think she'll remember who this is) :) Everyone we encountered on the resort was so friendly and it felt like "home away from home." I also felt safe and relaxed on the resort, and I was very impressed with their COVID-19 precautionary protocols. Our two bedroom suite overlooked the Bay and waking up to that view every morning was a dream! We loved our suite.

Also, I must shout out the Water Sports Team. They are SO fun! Collectively they are a great team, and individually they are truly good people. Despite the limitations on the island due to the pandemic, they wanted to make sure that we had a good time and even went above and beyond to make sure we did different activities and make us laugh. A huge thank you to Dwight, Denver, Jamson, Shurandi, Jn Marl, Anthony, & Gordan. We will not forget you all.

Oh! And the Spa. Just go. Thats all.

We have just returned from 9 nights at Windjammer. Firstly I should point out that we were meant to be staying at another hotel on the island, but found out the night before departure from the UK that the original hotel had still not been granted Covid cert by the government, so we were relocated to Windjammer.

On arrival in St Lucia, all Covid secure measures were followed- strict health checks etc. The transfer to Windjammer is around 90 mins around the island. At the resort we were met by Helen and taken straight to our room. What a surprise!! Our beachfront family villa was amazing!! As the name suggests we were overlooking the beach and had a beautiful infinity pool, plenty of outdoor space. Two large bedrooms and huge indoor living space with all the amenities if we were to eat in our room/self cater.

It's difficult to know where to start as everything was great. Firstly, from a Covid point of view, they were very well organised, masks on in communal areas, hand sanitiser everywhere, temp checks before meals and other services reorganised appropriately.
We were all inclusive- enjoyed all the food options- Breakfast- though not being quite the usual buffet experience still offered a breadth of options and was well managed despite the busyness of the resort and the need for space between tables etc. The staff were delightful, remembering our names and so sweet with our children. Plenty of food choice in the 3 places available for dinner. There is also a mini mart on site where you can get things if you want to in eat in your room.
We enjoyed the watersports- lots of options available, including waterskiing and knee boarding for the younger ones, tubing and trips out on the banana boat. The guys at the centre were really encouraging and helpful- especially Gordon and Shurandi. The Spa is definitely worth a trip and is an oasis of calm and tranquility. Pamela in the Spa was great. There seemed to be some form of entertainment most nights, though with a young family, we didn't see much of this. The steel band we did see was fab though.

Overall we had a fantastic stay, Helen ensured that nothing was too much trouble and answered every query we had. Having no knowledge prior to going to the resort, it is now somewhere we would definitely return. Thanks to all the team at Windjammer for ensuring a fantastic holiday!

St Lucia is the perfect place to escape Covid from the UK. Upon arriving at the airport, where your temperature is taken and you queue to go through the arrival documents, they are doing whatever they can to make the trip as safe as possible.
We chose this hotel as it was on a large site and we were not disappointed as the hotel was well spread out. We stayed at a 3 bed villa (villa 30), which was really well appointed with a kitchen, 2 living rooms, dining room & plunge pool. The villa was split over 3 floors, which was ideal for a family with teenagers. The sunset from the villa was one of the most spectacular that I have seen anywhere in the world!
The hotel had rigorous systems in place to keep us safe. We had our temperature checked at every meal and at some activities too. Face masks needed to be warn in public spaces and when entering/exiting the restaurants. Even the sunbeds were spaced out!
The watersports guys need a special mention, as they were always cheery and accommodating. Two in our family tried waterskiing for the first time and they were so patient, giving encouragement throughout our stay. There was then the opportunity to waterski/monoski etc twice a day, which was very popular. We used the paddle boards & kayaks daily and went on the tube rides- which was a lot of fun! They geared the speed according to the ages of the guests.
The water aerobics was fun and we enjoyed using the gym with the lovely instructor.
We booked via the hotel on a sunset cruise and a day cruise down to the Pitons with snorkling. Due to Covid they only take passengers from your own hotel, which made for a social experience, and the result was that the trips were not busy.
We all had a thoroughly enjoyable holiday and felt significantly safer in St Lucia than being back home.
