We came to this resort for ou daughters wedding. It was a beautiful resort! It was casually elegant with a country like charm. The wedding ceremony itself was very beautiful in the gazebo overlooking the ocean. The photographer was just fantastic!

The wedding planner, however, would not leave well enough alone. The entire event was filmed and she was constantly talking, telling them what to do and how to do it. She was in most of the pictures that the guests were taking. The only other thing that bothered me is the wedding dinner at The Pier restaurant. The food and the service was wonderful however the restaurant was not very cool and after being out in the hot sun all day for the wedding it would have been very welcomed, the fan wasn't working either so there was no air circulation. They also sat the two dinner tables (14 people) back to back so we could not visit with each other. The tables were folding card tables and the chairs were very uncomfortable card chairs. All other tables for all other customers had high backed cushion chairs and the tables were made of hard wood, rectangular and round. The wedding party was very uncomfortable and when asked if we could move the tables so we could visit with each other we were told no.

Other than that, this was an amazing place. We fully intend to visit again for vacation this time.

A top notch resort with extraordinary service. We were greeted with champagne and warm lavender scented towels, gently (we had just traveled 10 hours) oriented to the resort, and shown to the most beautiful room across from tropical gardens with a glimpse of the Caribbean about 50 yards away. The food at Mario's and The Pier was heavenly and we also enjoyed fine dining at the Grande and the Regency which were short scenic shuttle rides away. The service in every area (front desk, towels, bars, etc.) was first rate. The "Playmakers" kept the guests pleasurably involved and a good time was had by all. Water sports, pool tables, ping pong tables, shuffle board (yeah, it's fun) were close at hand and easy to access. Put this all in beautiful St. Lucia and you have an unforgettable experience. For anyone who thinks that romance is dead, visit the Halcyon. Romance is alive and well.

Having visited the other 2 resorts the Halcyon is definatley the best of the 3. Smaller, more personel, friendly and romantic. The staff (especially Maverick) are so friendly and make the experiance so much more than anywhere we have ever stayed before. Book your restaurants as soon as you arrive, Le Toc and Kimono but you have to go to the Italian at the Regency and watch the sun set (about 1815hrs), watch for the green flash just as the sun dips below the horizon, one of the most amazing views you will ever see. The diving is the most professionally run dive club i have ever dived with, a must, at least once.

My wife and I went on our honeymoon in early February, 2010 to Sandals Halcyon for 10 nights and still rave about it to our friends.

Having never done an "all inclusive" and hearing bad experiences of friends who went to "all inclusives" in Mexico, etc, we found Sandals Halcyon to be, for lack of better terms, awesome! 3 couples I work with recommended Sandals Halcyon as a nice, romantic location, who all spoke of it with high regard as my wife and I were researching honeymoon destinations.

From start to finish once we landed in St Lucia and began our memorable trip, the Sandals team was there for anything we needed. A huge bonus was that we didn't have to worry about a thing our whole trip and anything we wanted was for the most part at the Halcyon or you can jump on a 15 minute shuttle to the Regency or Grande, or do an excursion. (I'd highly recommend the zip lining through the rainforest).

The Halcyon was perfect for our honeymoon, as although its smaller than the Regency and Grande it was by far the most romantic with its tropical beauty. Kudos to groundskeepers at the Halcyon, it something out of a book.

The room was nice, as they've been working to keep up with the times. Though how much time can you spend in the room when there's so much to do. We had a nice bed, 46" flat screen or so, great balcony, at lot nicer than we anticipated. What's also nice is that during the week, you'll see workers doing preventative maintenance not only on the grounds but also upgrading the rooms so you aren't going to a place that looks like it hasn't been touched for 20 years. Seeing how much they care and work they put into their resort is a good feeling, its just very clean with modern room accommodations.

Every night at the resort there was something going on, whether it be a singer, fire dancing, steel drum band, mixed in with some couples activities or just chilling at the bar it was there. A few nights when we left Halcyon to eat at some of restaurants of the Regency / Grande nothing was better than coming back "home" and hanging at the bar watching the fire dancers with the steel drums in the background.

For "all inclusive" the drinks where great, whatever you wanted any time of the day you could have it, top shelf liquor too. The food was a lot better than I would have thought too. Between the 3 resorts you can find just about any meal to suit your desire any day and change it up the next. If you go, why not experience new foods, and of course the house drinks : ) I highly recommend BBCs, a Miami Vice, a Bob Marley or a few Pitons during the day to cool off.

For activities, the play makers are great at getting people involved if you want, or you can just chill and hang at the pool, beach, or on a hammock under the palms. I must say I really miss pool volleyball. What's also nice about Sandals is that you can hit up the water sports area too which is included. We didn't take advantage of the snorkeling, water skiing, or sailing as I'm not a very good swimmer and chicken even with a life vest, however we did do the kayaking and the 3 wheel pedal bike in the ocean.

All around it was a beautiful trip which I think if we would have rented a house or stayed at another resort we would not have enjoyed it as much. Sandals is such a great deal, not just for the location, but everything it brings with it. Halcyon was an intimate, romantic setting. We met some life long friends throughout the trip who live all throughout the US and Canada. Truly enjoyed the friendly Sandals staff, Lyn, Curlyna (such a talented singer, would totally win American Idol), Jacob, Kevin, Garfield, Landin, Agnes, Eslyn and Jimmy you all stood out. Don't forget to buy something from Charlie a local on the beach, he's got some crazy stories.

We were so impressed not only by Sandals Halcyon and the other resorts in St Lucia, but the Sandals package. We already booked 9 days in Jamaica next January and plan to cycle back to Sandals Halcyon every 3-5 years.
