Amazing holiday, the room was great the location was magical.
Food drink and service all very high standard and we both loved our time here.

Recommend to anyone wanting a quiet and relaxing honeymoon and holiday.

Only improvement that could be made was the bathroom was looking a bit tired and could do with refurb. Other than that amazing!

Room Tip: Sea view nice

We selected Sandals Halcyon Beach in St. Lucia for our Honeymoon just based on the fact that it was tropical and we could go swimming without getting splashed, kicked or our ears ringing from little kiddos. We wanted green lush mature gardens, relaxing atmosphere, and ocean beach. We got all we were looking for and then some.

The staff was FABULOUS. Everyone was accommodating, welcoming, and genuinely friendly and helpful. There are a few that went above any beyond the call of duty: Martha at the Beach Side Bistro, getting us seated and fed under a time crunch of our own doing; Stacey, our Butler for our Beach-side Candle light Supper; Lenny the wine steward at Mario's Italian Restaurant; Davina, one of the waitresses at Mario's, and our cleaning/stocking crew being every so nice to give us extra sodas and waters in our fridge on request. We did travel to another of the Sandals resorts on St. Lucia and did not find the same friendly welcoming staff. Coming back to Halcyon very much felt like coming home.
We were able to plan and book exactly the amount of tours and excursions as we wanted or be as relaxed and do nothing as we wanted. We HIGHLY recommend the Joe Knows Tour booked through Sandals, it was a long day filled with lots of laughs, plenty of interesting bits of knowledge and more genuine people who truly love what they do.

Room Tip: At the main pool where most of the activities go on, there is quite a bit of noise until about 11PM...

My husband and I stayed for 9 nights at Sandals Halcyon March 11-20, our first stay there, and our 6th Sandals trip. The great Trip Advisor reviews are completely true - the staff is one of the most sincere, kind and friendliest group we have seen. The grounds are gorgeous, and the food was terrific especially the filet at Kelly's. Our room was on the second floor in the 200 block, room 216, very quiet, central to everything, but could have used a little updating. Donna our housekeeper was fabulous. Many thanks to Aaron who always greeted us at the bar before dinner with a smile and great service, to Agnes at the pool bar who did a great job saying "beer" with a Boston accent, to Neilan who was so much fun at the pool during the day organizing games, and to the rest of the staff who helped make our vacation perfect - can't wait to go back!

We travelled to Halcyon for 10 days at the end of January... And we could not have asked for anything better.
This was our wedding and honeymoon, the Sandals team was a pleasure to work with in planning the wedding prior to arrival. We were assigned a wedding coordinator who called us twice to discuss our options and of course items at an additional cost. However there was no pressure to upgrade the package. It was only the two of us at the wedding and the sandals team made us feel like we had our friends in attendance!

Trevor, the Wedding Captain was great fun. We attended to every detail. He also greater us upon arrival and called us by first name for our entire stay.

Upon arrival we were whisked away to the cool Sandals lounge to sip punch while guests waited for the small bus to the trip. There were couples for the La toc and Halcyon on our bus and thank goodness Halcyon was the first stop. It is one hell of a ride! Beautiful scenery and the driver points out interesting points and shares all sorts of St. Lucia facts.

Our room, 502 was perfect. Great location right by the quiet pool. Room was clean, well maintained. We spent most of our time at the quiet pool.... For two reasons... The peacefulness and Agnes.

Food was fabulous. Soy sushi bar was a welcome surprised we ate there twice and until we were in a sushi coma! Nelson is wonderful.
Angelo at Mario's takes such pride in his restaurant he makes the place... Although the food was delicious, the best carbonara we have had and risotto was divine!

We went to both the Grande and La toc... Although beautiful places they were too big for us. There was always a wait at the bar people everywhere!

Our only one thing we knew before we went was with all the recent rain there were more little Mosquitos and sand flies. Mosquitoes didn't both us but the sand flies really bothered me. Had to go to the Nurse on site for a quick treatment as I had an allergic reaction. Both nurses I saw were kind, quick and professional. A little extra Solercaine next time and after bite.

There is so much more I could write about our stay... But to sum it up we would go back in a heart beat, the resort was impeccable, staff were delightful and the country is breath taking.

No Pressure... No Problem... thanks Halcyon.

We booked our trip directly through the Sandals people. The process wasn't too bad, took a while to figure out all the details and room style etc but the woman was very nice. A few misteps when it came to scheduled calls, but they seemed earnest in their apologies and rescheduling of phone calls.

We opted for the Helicopter tour to the resort instead of the taxi. Its pricey but the views are well worth it. Also the 20 min ride vs 1.5 hour ride from the airport was awesome given the hiccups in air traveling. We were dying to get to the resort and relax

We opted for the Romeo and Juliet Walkout Butler Suite. The term suite at this resort is a bit misleading. Its one room and a bathroom- no bigger than a standard hotel room. The decor was nice- clearly its been a long time since it had been updated so it looks a little vintage but everything seemed in order. Our AC unit worked flawlessly which was handy due to the humidity so we were very happy with that. The bed was pretty uncomfortable. We both had tweaked backs, and did not sleep very well the entire trip. They could definitely use upgraded mattresses and boxsprings. Our Butlers, Willard, Claudia and the manager Roland were all incredible, very attentive and great at delivering that WOW factor we had heard about. Neither of us are the types of people to ask people to do stuff for us but the butlers did things without asking that were very thoughtful and helpful. One thing we recommend to others is decide what restaurants you want to go to for dinner, and give the list to the butler, concierge etc, and have them make reservations for you right away. Some restaurants book very quickly so the sooner you get it in, the better your chances are.

The food at the resort was fantastic- The Bayside Diner was great, Marios was excellent, Kelly's excellent and Kimono's was amazing. The beachside grille was ok- nothing amazing but good for snacks. We also went to the Creperie at the Grand, and Gordons on the Pier. Gordon's is a la carte unless you are in a Butler level room, and it was absolutely amazing.

Activities at the resort were plentiful, and we partook in many of them. Couples Shuffleboard, Pool Volleyball, beach bowling etc, and the playmakers were all fantastic. Neilan, Vianna, and Junior all are amazing at what they do and do everything they can to ensure people are having fun. We became close throughout our trip and consider them friends for sure. The whole feel of the resort is you are staying at a friends house. The Halcyon is much smaller than the others, and all the staff will remember you, call you by name, and enjoy getting to know you. We were so sad to leave them behind.

Excursions wise- we highly recommend Julians Tours - They are the guys on the beach with the Yellow Shirts- Kennedy is awesome and his tour is unlike anyone elses. You get the boatride down the coast- snorkeling in the best spot, all you can drink if you drink, a trip through the volcano- lunch in the volcano- at his house cooked by his Mother, a trip to the waterfall, and cliff diving. Absolutely the best excursion we took while there.

We also did para sailing at the Grande- was a lot of fun and worth the menial cost. The excursions through sandals are nice- but all include markup- so if you book directly through them you are going to pay more. Also- they will caution you liability wise against booking through non sandals people- but if you go to the island routes desk- there is a liability waiver for all the excursions- they just want your money.

A few friends we made did the Fountain of Youth tour- and really liked it- also the zip line we heard was a lot of fun.

The bars were all nice- the pools were fantastic. If you want a little peace and quiet- find the paradise pool by Kimonos- Very quiet and tranquil.

A heads up about the beach- no its not white sand- its a volcanic island so its not supposed to be- but the water is gorgeous and blue. There are no private beaches in St Lucia- so there are going to be people walking the beach and calling over to you to buy things. They are never pushy at the resort- and very polite. Just keep in mind- don't let them put things on your wrist if you don't want to buy them. Just politely say no thanks and they will smile and go on their way. We found the guys on the beach at the Grande much much pushier, even the sandals staff was pushing this and that.

There is no question that Sandals is all inclusive- but they fully stand behind the constant upsell sales model. There are packages for everything- and excursions to go everywhere but all at a cost. It adds up quick. We decided before we left how much we were going to spend and that helped a lot. It is not a cheap place to go by any means- but if you are vigilant about not signing up for everything they try to sell you- you will do well.

As far as the resort- the fire pits are awesome and a great way to relax at night. They have late night food at Bayside Cafe which was nice if you stayed up late. Housekeeping was great, and again, the butlers are amazing. Can't thank Roland enough for all his efforts.

We did get married at the resort and it was absolutely beautiful. The ceremony was exactly as we had wanted and went without a hitch. We had friends we made there record it for us- which was great as opposed to the resorts video fees. The wedding packages are really expensive, and as it was just us, we were able to do things minimally. Be prepared to drop some serious coin if you want all the bells and whistles. The wedding stuff is all about the upsells.

In the end- while it was at the max of our budget- we are happy with our choice and have great memories. The only mess up was we were promised a candlelight dinner anywhere on the resort and somehow something got messed up in the system. They said we would have to pay extra for it, and that was very disappointing as we were looking forward to it. We definitely felt like we were shorted in this regard given the money we spent. Our next trip will most likely be to a different island and we are looking at different resort companies as well. We were willing to splurge for our wedding/honeymoon, but there is no way we would pay that much for a week long vacation in the future, but who knows- the wedding and butler part probably added significantly to the price, so without those- the price may be much better. Highly recommend the resort. Fantastic Staff- great place- feels like a home away from home.

Room Tip: The walkout butler rooms are fantastic with great views- but if you don't need the butler, it ma...

Food was mostly very good - some appetizers weren't great and the seafood that wasn't local was hit and miss. Most of steaks were fabulous! Try the filet at Kelly's. Room was very clean. Nice flat resort vs the other 2 sandals. Grounds were well kept and lovely. Decor is a bit dated. Things are generally in great shape though. Some staff seemed to be going through the motions while others seemed generally happy to help and be working there. Smooth sand beach, although for swimming the Grand was nicer. Dive staff and water activity staff were great. Massages were too expensive- even by resort pricing. Shower was terrible. I liked how calm and not noisy the resort was compared to the Grande. Shuttle service was about every 2 hours. Hard to get reservations for the restaurants that need reservations. This was a problem for us since our celebration night was the second after we got there and everything was booked. Many restaurants didn't need reservations. Internet included with a club room was good enough in the room for email and other non streaming things. FaceTime was choppy in the lobby but we could have paid extra for higher speed. There is a grocery store across the street you can walk to. Overall nice place. St Lucia is beautiful.

We went here to renew our vows. It was great! It was just me, my wife, and 2 adult kids. We stayed in the Poolside Honeymoon Club Level rooms. Nice rooms and location. The food was great. Some of the best that we have had at an all inclusive resort. The service was excellent from the wedding planners, concierge's, food service, bartenders, to the entertainment group.
The only negative comment that I have about the whole trip was US Airways is the worst!
Other then that it was one of our best trips! We will be trying out more Sandals/Beaches in the future.

Room Tip: Not sure how the other rooms were but the Poolside rooms are newly renovated. I would add the Club l...
