“Got to be the best value for money hotel in Rodney bay”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 16, 2014 via mobile

Great location - right on the marina front and if you have one of the deluxe rooms your own private decking right on the water front - beautiful view . Our deluxe room was huge, with a kitchen and a jacuzzi. Cute little pool surrounded by gardens.
The Edge restaurant looked amazing - we didn't eat there but looked pretty pricey. Ate once at the starfish and it was fine.
Rodney bay itself is a bit boring... Couple of restaurants catering for tourists, couldn't find any proper Creole food!
However good base for day trips, and I would definitely recommend Harmony suites

We are staying here for two weeks - 5 more days to go. It is a wonderful place to stay. So clean one could eat off of the floors. Spacious as well. Lots of shelves and closet space. Housekeeping excellent - Myrtle is our lady - super nice. It is smaller resort and nice and quiet within walking distance few minutes to Reduit beach and few minutes to Rodney bay shopping. Perfect. We will come back here.

Harmony Suites provided a comfortable 1 bedroom suite in nice surroundings. Esther, Sharon and Kendal at the front desk were helpful, knowledgeable and courteous and Mareka and Evala(sp?) kept our room clean and refreshed. The accommodation is actually a 1 bedroom suite which was perfect because I like to sleep in and my husband likes to get up early. He could roam about the living room without disturbing me. The accommodations are dated but comfortable and in the bigger scheme of travel company comparisons, get an average rating likely a 3 star. The grounds are flat which is important to my husband as he has difficulty with hilly terrain. The hotel is right on the marina but because of the unruly and lush vegetation, the view from any balcony is obscured except the superior rooms on the marina front. That said, it provides lots of privacy. The ocean, Rodney Bay, is a 2 block walk. You cannot see the ocean from the hotel or the road. It is a quick (flat) walk to good restaurants, grocery stores and malls and all the services you could possibly need. The hotel hosts arguably one of the best restaurants in St Lucia, the Edge which to foodies, is Michelin one star quality (no kidding). While it is a gourmets delight restaurant by night, it is the hotels breakfast spot in the morning with tables right on the marina that have exceptional views as well as entertainment by the local jumping fish and the occasional rogue sailboat that came free of its moorings! The staff of the restaurant is super friendly and accommodating. Definitely good value for money – would return no problem.

Room Tip: We had a premium room - would switch to luxury (right on the marina) but were happy with upper floor...

Chose this place after doing some research online and emailing a few. The response from here answered all our questions, and a positive review from another friend cemented the deal.

On arrival the front staff were very polite and helpful. That standard was maintained by all staff during our visit.
The grounds are very nice, but can get inundated when it rains heavily. We had a two hour downpour on our third day which made a pond of almost everywhere.
The suites are nice, but a bit dated. Excellent bedroom with adequate cupboards. (missed a television though, but that's my vice.) Next to it had an adjacent half bath, with a shower (no plug for the bathtub) and huge sink and vanity area.
The living room was comfortable (tv there), heavily curtained with sliding doors to the verandah. Also an excellent full kitchen.

The location is great as it's a short walk out to the beach, tourist areas, and access to transit unless using public transportation to the southern side of the island.

The included hearty breakfast was also good value with their combos and buffets. Again staff excelled by even preparing something that was not available on the bouffet simply because we asked.

Room Tip: Lower floors are convenient, but higher floors have better marina views and privacy.

Stayed here for a couple of nights in June and thought it was fine accommodation for the price. It's not flash but it is clean and the staff were really friendly. Easy walk to the shops and the beach. I would stay again if I was ever so lucky as to return to St Lucia!

I stayed in Room 212. The view was fantastic. The room hotel is one of the older hotels in the area however it is clean. There are ants as others have mentioned, just keep your food and toiletries covered and you'll be fine. Mosquitoes are only an issue if you keep the balcony/patio door open. However they're pretty fierce in the dining area. If you're staying after the rainy season like I did (11/14-11/21) you WILL need bug spray - that's not the hotel's fault!! The Edge staff (breakfast) is WONDERFUL! I opted for the breakfast option which was $12USD/day. NOT BAD!! You can change your egg option to whichever egg you'd like except for the eggs Benedict. I ordered an extra pancake on the side for $8EC (again, NOT BAD!!)
Back to the room - the hotel is a bit dated however, I wasn't there to "live" in the room! It served it's purpose, it was clean, and comfortable! One complaint I had/have was that my television didn't work properly. The volume did not increase. It would go lower however if you wanted to raise the volume, the menu option or AV option would come up. When I did bring this to the receptionists attention, it was too late in the evening and she "left a note for maintenance." Maintenance never came, I played around with the volume to get it to "12" and left well enough alone. I only watched TV at night so it wasn't terrible. THE WIFI IS AWFUL!!!!!!!!!!!! This is VERY frustrating considering having WiFi is some travelers ONLY connection to family back home. I was upset with this but made due with lack of communication and appreciated it when I could get it. I understand you're on vacation, but when you miss your loved ones at home and can't communicate, it's upsetting.
Overall, this is my second trip to St. Lucia, but first stay at Harmony Suites, I'd stay here over my other accommodation for sure. I would also try out other locations as well... Maybe on the beach next time!

Room Tip: DEFINITELY stay on the 2nd Floor! The view was spectacular from my room - Rm 212. It was a little...
